Warrior = Axe? Why no Great swords?

I thought the whole thing about Warrior was they are skilled with any weapon.

That was the whole point of Warrior (they're even working on allowing them to change properties of their weapons based on circumstances) but people dig the Armoury system so they like the "Weapon = Class" route.

So while Gladiator has Daggers and Swords, that essentially killed the possibility of Thief or Assassin ever popping up with their distinctive weapon.
