It depends on the dungeon. There have been many times where I have finished a dungeon without a "crucial member of the team." Have done a HM dungeon with no healer because he was being an ass and pulling for me, then decided to pout and not heal at all so we kicked him. Another time in Haukke Manor I tanked as a Monk from the begging to the end of the dungeon because our tank dc'd and we never got another one. Being stuck in the ring is excruciatingly annoying when you could at least do some of the dungeon while you wait for the person to finally connect.


Get rid of the stupid ring altogether, or let you vote kick after 5 minutes per usual. The first option would be better.
You continue without them, if you can. If not, you wait til they get back. Most of the time time you can pull one group at a time without a tank/healer, and in trials you can be one person down and not even notice. What instance are you talking about where there's a crucial member? And why is standing around doing nothing a better alternative?
