Warrior Confirmed during Live letter.

Yoshi-P Confirmed that the one job not announced was Warrior, and they shown some concept art. This one's for us Marauders.

Q: Isn't it about time for you to introduce all the jobs that will be implemented in patch 1.21?
A: There is one last job that has not been introduced yet. So far, I have introduced Paladin, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragoon, Monk and Bard but the very last job left to be announced is… Warrior!

Now the big question: Will it focus on Offesne? Defense? Both?

I would bet my chips on Offense, like most of the Warrior Jobs in the FF canon, but who knows they may want to make it hybrid, having an ability like defender, but for offense.

I took the quote to more reference Dark Knight...Not sure you can interpret it as warrior. Plus to me, that looks like SAM or BST. Maybe a pet job?

This is a 2 handed (see famitsu cover) axe. He's just holding it one hand for the same of concept art.

However, yes the option of one handed axes is prolly on their think-list.

As far as dual wield goes, while it would be fun, I'd bet they'll save this for the canon DW class/job: Ninja, gotta also consider the battle code behind the implementation of DW, I doubt they have this ready. So I would not get my hopes up for DW until an expansion or simply more jobs announced.

They said "Senshi" when talking about this bit, which is Warrior. No interpretation or speculation to be done, it was quite clear.

"There is one job that has yet to be announced...What we have announced so far is paladin, white mage, black mage, dragoon, monk and bard. Last, here is a warrior image!"

To me, why would they say it hasn't been announced and then announce it. Plus, they say warrior image, which again, to me, seems to be warrior as a general term. So I am under the belief it is Dark Knight, Samurai, or a Beastmaster type job. Although I have always assumed it would be Warrior, so won't be surprised if it is.

I wouldn't mind a 1 handed spike axe with a bladed shield in the other hand (meaning a bladed edge fully encompasing the entire shield circumfrence)

You are assuming right, so don't be surprised. Senshi (戦士）always been the reference as a job, since Final Fantasy 1 and that's what they meant in this live letter. Sorry to burst your bubble, but they didn't said Warrior as a general term in this specific case, so Beastmaster, Dark Knight and even less Samurai (be sure they will show us actual oriental armor and katanas for this) are not coming as a Marauder job...for now.

You glossed over the fact that they say they haven't announced it yet but then, supposedly, go on to announce it. Why wouldn't they announce it? It seems one of the given linkages? To me, it seems they are hiding something.
