Why do people want Blue Mage in this game?

Beastmaster summoned monsters from pots in FFXI. They were in other FFs too, V had one IIRC

This is part of the reason why I ask is the flavor of BLU could be retained by merging it with Beastmaster, a transformation-centered job or both. Blue Mage and Beastmaster both are relate to Monsters and their skills but their methods are different, more so that the difference between RDM and FCR (which both mix magic with melee swords).

I think her point was that she wouldn't classify our current pet classes as worthy of the title.

Besides, whats wrong with current SMN pet like system?

I mean... You have pet... Pet has skills... Best summoners use obey and only obey, for maximum dmg pump... So you need to control little shite to do not go wild...

In other words, what they would like pet system to look like? Feeding pet in battle with creatine so it grows into John Cena?

As if the class has the pet as the central focus and isn't a one off gimmick. Summoner received no new pet actions and the only pet action Scholar got was dismissing the pet itself to once again focus more on the character and not the pet.

I just think she has absurdly high standards and mega rose tinted goggles, she's already complained about jobs being completely butchered so you aren't gonna hear anything different from her now :/

On the same token you seem to have low standards to the point of "I'll take what I am offered and never complain about it even if it was garbage".
