The majority of cutscene skippers are WoW refugees
im raider and have been for years and never skiped a main story cutscene in any game(some side boring quests ,yeah like every1) , hell i did Coil for the story more than anything

I haven't read every post, but damn, people are, umm... passionate, for lack of a better word.
First I will start off by saying I am not a raider, would I raid with a static if I had one or had time maybe, but that is my choice.
I like having Alexander normal, because it allows me to enjoy the raid at my own pace and leisure. I will say that a majority of what people have mentioned is more or less subjective. The Alexander stroy is on par, pace/storywise with Coil. The only reason Coil may of felt better, is because of its connection to the main story; of course that is just my opinion as well.
For the normal and savage mode debate, that is kinda moot. SE tried to create a "Savage" version of Coil and it, "failed", mostly because Coil itself was restricted until each subsequent patch/patches. Plus regardless of what each version is called one will be the "easy" version and the other the "hard" version.
As for gear, the design ideas are whatever people make of them. Personally, I think the Coil stuff especially the Dreadwyrm gear was ugly, and too overly designed. The reason SE released dyeable versions of the Coil gear is because, the way Alex is set up they give you dyeable gear from Savage; and also because they were requested.
I just hope people remember that this game is still young, and SE has a lot more time to try a wide varietynof things. Personally I'd like them to fix the horrible tomestone issue, it is so annoying. Hopefully, the new stuff coming in 3.3 will fix that a little.
But you'd hope a 3 year old would learn new things to become a better adult, no?
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
Erm.. Watch cutscene once and that's it(why would anyone watch same cutscene twice during a dungeon). As for savage skip them as they're the same as mormal mode lol.
While the dungeons may have been from 1.x, the gameplay and many other aspects were either overhauled or completely redone. 1.x was a completely different game; 2.x just reused some of its assets, which is nothing new in the franchise anyway. I mean, how many different Final Fantasy games have had Ultima Weapon and various other enemy creatures?
