I don't mind if BLM do this, but only if they warn me before hand. I actually just ran my Level 60 Roulette with a BLM who warned me they would be taking against against Lahabrea & Igeyorhm and Ascian Prime. I didn't mind because they actually warned me before hand.

Any half decent BLM will know the fights, know which aoes have to be avoided, and plan accordingly. Between slidecasting, teleporting and procs, they can still move enough not to tax the healer much more than a regen or medica2 that may very well be ticking anyway. There are times to just sit in aoe, if it's not that hard hitting, and they have their own personal mitigation available as well if need be, but it's their responsibility to know what's going on

Bit a skilled one should abuse aetherial manipulation and sprint like crazy
Which allow him to avoid 80% of the attack

Only lock moment is ley line time which doesn't him to move

Yeah, but sometimes I let it slide. The extra DPS they can dish out is fine, since I can just throw a regen their way or something. I generally like to keep Medica II up in that fight anyway, just in case someone slips up. I'm not super knowledgeable about BLM, but I do they have ways to help them avoid taking damage, but if them taking that laser will be a shorter fight, than I don't mind.

This was when I was grinding in CT a long time ago, as usual the run was fine and things were running well and we were getting near the end fairly fast.

This is before we hit the behemoth, everything was fine until the tank took a HUGE CHUNK of health from an attack, of course I knew we could recover from this so no problem right? Just get that health back up and we'll be fine~

But of course, when I started healing him back up for unknown reason the tank PULLED THE DAMN THING RIGHT IN MY DIRECTION. You can imagine me a tiny miq'ote having a giant-ass behemoth charging towards her and the heart attack I felt in that very moment along with a large sense of confusion.

Needless to say I died and he got us wiped.

I was able to laugh about it afterwards though. =w=

Antitower... a DK who would not use.. well, pretty much everything. No unleash, no Grit, no Darkside, no shadowskin.. NOTHING. He'd run up to a mob and do the basic 123 combo and that was it. If he lost aggro, there wasn't even Unmend or Provoke. He'd just run up to the mob who peeled away and used his 123 combo on it. After the 1st group of mobs, tank didn't even bother trying to take aggro off me or the blm. Goon ended up tanking all of it. We thought he might be unfamiliar or a returning player, but even spamming "please use Grit/Darkside/unleash/etcetc", there wasn't any improvement other than a singular reply "okay".

After a horrendous 1st boss battle, I ate my penalty and left.


A5N, a bit of a panic moment when one of our gorilla players punted two bombs in the wrong direction, killing all dps and my healer partner. Smartassed goon begins criticizing the party, saying our dps was crap, healers were crap (?_?), tanks were crap (this one I concede because they weren't taking aggro from each other after the stacks but they eventually learnt). And he respawned back to beginning, saying that we would wipe for sure without him. After raising my partner, we began systematically ressing the other DPSes and cleared it without anyone else dying. There was a smug satisfaction when I saw the goon failing roll for every loot he rolled.

At the final boss, they tried to troll us by running out of the instance just as it locked out, doing laughing emotes from outside. I was on SMN and quickly brought out titan, who proceeded to tank, and my weak crossclassed physick was just enough to keep me and the drg up. caster LB brought down the adds before they overwhelmed us, and we just about managed to get through it. Funnily enough heals and tank had stopped laugh emote by the end, and just ran out without saying anything

I decided recently that I wanted the new two-handed whm primal weapons from Garuda hm and thornmarch hm, so I've been farming both for the last couple of days. Oh boy, do I miss the days of light farming when most groups could flawlessly take down Garuda and the moogles in less than two minutes.

The most...interesting...Garuda run I saw today had a MT that decided to tank Garuda in the middle of the center tornado in the last phase. The 3 poor melee who were just trying to hit her kept getting thrown across the arena like rag dolls. I would have told the tank to move out of the tornado, but I was so focused on healing that I didn't have time. I managed to keep them alive because the fight is still so easy but I admit I was laughing the whole time.

The moogles weren't much better. "What? The war and pld moogles and the King need to be tanked?" Wipe. And "Gee, what is this giant purple aoe covering half of the arena? Oh well, it probably won't do anything." It one-shots everyone except me and the tanks. I'm the only one who even attempts to dodge. This happened in about 40% of the fights.

Tam-Tara Deepcroft, as CNJ, a class I don't play very much. Told the group I hadn't healed in a long time (roughly a month). Didn't stop the tank from pulling boss to boss though.

Surprisingly, even though everyone's health dropped to critical levels on various occasions, nobody died on my watch. So, I guess I still have my healing chops.
