Coffin Lid and wind up Echidna too rare?

I can safely say that the drop rate is indeed too rare. I have done Void Ark over 100 times or so and have seen the lid once and the minion 4 or 5 times.

Seeing as there are so many in the same boat as me I have to question the motives or logic on making those two items so rare. It makes no sense to me.

Then I guessed you never did EX Primals then, since those starting from the 2nd patch of their respective cycles had exclusive and colorful mounts that were similarly rare. The general reason? Retention, for Void Ark is too early and EX trials too hard to get the Relic treatment
