Then use your common sense and don't take what I said literally. You knew what I meant. If you're not playing for a month and a half, the house is standing there looking pretty with your name on the plaque. That's it.

Yeah, I'm the only one with this opinion. Just me. Nobody else. /eyeroll.
By the way, I'm not frustrated. I have a house.

I'm actually laughing at the fact you think the people willing to be online and use their house are the ones on their "high and mighty horse".
And obviously you have a house, God forbid anyone take it from you when you don't log in for 45 days.
Edit: getting pretty tired of the bias people here who will only see the side of their house being relinquished, so I won't be wasting my posts anymore. Have a nice day all!![]()

45 days should actually be longer i also think. Just because they rather messed up when implementing housing.... Had housing been instanced instead it may not of been an issue.
And actually fairly certain Apartments will be introduced now, not actual houses. This was said already i am sure of it. (well prob 98% sure, lol)
Some people have you know real life stuff, either financial difficulties or just burned out from the game, so how is it some of you can talk for everyone and say 45 days is long enough?
Funny you should say that when people agree that people should be able to get a house. The thing is that the solution isn't to take it away from others. It's for SE to fix the the real issue of there not being enough for everyone.
The reason the idea of rent worked in other MMOs is due to the fact it was implemented at the start. When housing was released, it was understood that there was a rental or weekly payment required in order to keep said house. If players didn't think they could do so, they simply didn't buy the housing. Or, if people were no longer playing, the house would go back up for sale after a grace period of missed payment. For people who liked to take breaks, rent could also be paid months in advance in some MMOs I've played, like Aion.
This can never be the case with this game. Reason being, as stated, it was not implemented at the start. Dropping that on people who already own houses, is a slap in the face. I'm one of the many people who really would like a house. And I do understand why the 45 day timer was implemented, but it was a short-sighted attempt to band-aid a much bigger problem. Rent would be another one of those things.
The supply isn't there for the demand, bottom line. There is no easy fix to housing that would work until that demand is met with more supply.
