    What would the point be? Open world content in this game is incredibly lacking... Beast tribe quests were something... Were... Heavensward just lets you fly over all the danger... Shame they couldn't work something like Diadem, were certain sections of the map cannot be flown through, at least then higher level enemies might actually mean something, since we wouldn't be able to fly right past them...

    That said, I'd love it if they brought back Strongholds... Give all the Beast tribes, and a few of the Garlean bases, their own open world zone, full of max level enemies, with the aim being to obtain Coffer Keys and hunt out Coffers to open... Diadem could have been something like that, but instead they made Diadem... /sigh

    the old Urth's SB grind used to be doable with a few people as you wanted though, and you could get away with using whatever gear you wanted to SB for whatever reason.

    Diadem ofc requires 8 minimum, and the mobs arent always set up for quick repeatable spams, plus instanced content with a cost to enter, and if you gear to low youll struggle more.

    Diadem is an SB location but its far from an easy one like Urth's used to be.
    also this is all about Overworld stuff anyway.

    1.0 had very high lvl mobs and most were around the "zone" lines and made it very hard to get to other areas. I remember trying to get to Mor Dhona from West Shroud it was nearly impossible to do it alone. It was annoying yes but having these high lvl mobs I thought was pretty cool, maybe just not directly on areas where you need to get to the next.

    But mostly its due to the fact that people complain if they have to handle anything remotely difficult or have an extra minute or two from there time getting somewhere. Its kinda funny though since we have so many teleports and basically infinite teleporting, flying and people still shoot down the idea of a more dangerous open world.

    I miss the high level mobs from 1.0.

    I remember trying to get an aetheryte and I got one shotted by a bat who literally flung shit at me (Guano Lob).

    Nearly every mob had a ranged attack which made it hard to get around the higher level areas, but it was fun. I remember going PLD with some friends and Hallowed Ground bum-rushing as much as I could before I died.

    I might be alone, but I actually like that I don't need high level help to explore Eorzea?

    You have to be careful with the difficulty of solo content. Just reading random comments on the internet, you find players who get through much of the solo content on their first try while others struggle, having done several attempts without success. I do recognize that many of those comments date back quite a ways, probably 1.0-2.2 is what I've seen most. As for mob level, I am at a loss. But I find the difficulty of exploration in this game comes from being swarmed by mobs instead of getting one shotted by a mob much higher level than you.

    I also sense some nostalgia

    To be fair, if they had lvl 60 mobs that were scaled to the highest end of 3.0 gear, no one would be able to do anything near them while leveling. it would make some quests impossible without help from 1 or more geared players. most of the playerbase would HATE that.
