Lack of inventory space really puts me off playing some nights when I get home. I just get frustrated and go do something else. Or I just have my retainer sell things or discard them thereby prejudicing the community helping aspect of this being an MMO.

A few thoughts

1. There should be a way to craft with mats saved in the retainers or chests. Just like in pretty much every other MMO out there...

2. There are too many currency items!

I've forgotten what upgrades what. The item help doesn't help at all. It just tries to crack a joke instead of saying what gear the item is used for. This must be crazy confusing for newer players who weren't around when content was released in stages.

But that aside, there should be a way for either
a) using the physical currency item to convert it into nothing so that it appears in the Currency tab.
b) allowing us to give the currency item to the relevant store NPC to hold on to


3. Crafters and Gatherers should not even be part of the "Armoury" chest.

4. Given a lot of gear isn't convertible or sellable or tradeable why not just have your current raid gear consumed and saved to your Job Crystal itself. That way the armoury chest can just be for glamour and funs.

I never bought the server limitations excuse. They can't give us more inventory because of limitations, but we can buy all the retainers we want. Something doesn't add up. The solution is very simple. Let us mail stuff to our alts.

The reason we have retainers is due to the fact they don't allow players to use other characters as bank alts directly due to imposed restrictions on trading to characters on the same account. So, they added retainers, which act as the bank alts we are all used to from other games. However, what they should really be doing is let us sacrifice other character slots for more retainers instead of having to pay for essentially characters 9-16 out of pocket on the sub. I've been furiously trying to reduce my inventory so I can ditch the third retainer and get my sub back to where it's supposed to be.

I never bought the server limitations excuse. They can't give us more inventory because of limitations, but we can buy all the retainers we want.

Walk-around inventory is limited because they have to make regular back-ups of it in case of loss of connection or server crash, so we don't lose our data. If the amount of character data is too high, the stress on the server caused by the back-up process may result in bigger problems occurring. They are committed to increasing inventory at some point but it is a technical hurdle to overcome.
