Yeah, I got trolled alright... By the developers of Rift... They got 50 of my dollars too, lol. If you take the time to read before you quote, you'd have noticed what my post was about. But then I guess a legitimate discussion is kind of the opposite of what you're going for.

Being a linguistic enthusiast doesn't mean I'm raging though. I don't know where that comes from. I guess if you're having fun with that pretend sarcasm, well, whatever floats your goat. I'm kind of amused tbh, most trolls are more blunt and boring than anything else. And if my posts strike you as long and arduous, a book would probably blow your mind lol. I don't think those things are too popular among modern youth culture though. XD

You could do better, but I got a couple chuckles from ya', which is more than I can say about other trolls. Don't try quite so hard, and instead of posting so much that it looks like you just want to hear yourself talk, you should wait for the right opportunity and such. Long winded posters like me are an easy target, sure, but I mean c'mon... "The trolled"? Could have done a lot better than that. Seems like you're kind of trying to go for that Colbert style of humor. Or maybe you're just ranting, idk lol. Guess I'm expecting more comedy than I should be out of you.

And yeah, since when is responding to trolls being trolled? I thought it was when you fell for their not so elaborate ruses and ploys, taking them for actual attempts at discussion... In which case, like I said, I definitely got trolled hard by the Trion for thinking Rift was more than a copy-paste money grab aimed at WoW fans. Geez, they could have at least dressed it up a little. They really didn't even try to disguise half the things they poached.

I think it's generally used in a less articulate manner, but something like that. I'm still getting the hang of this whole 'being deliberately stupid is clever' phenomena. So, the trolls are the ones pretending to be dumb, and are clever for it, right? The part I trip on, is differentiating those people from the people who are dumb, but think they're clever. Likely, Belgian put in a lot of time with XI (hard core) and he wants the same addictive qualities that make MMOs enjoyable/successful incorporated into this game.
