I think it should also be added that we can macro this so that we have a quick On/Off function for it, since the response to that reply was the alliance limitation thing. The hassle is probably the wall there.

I had to make this macro for hunts when I was on the PS4, it was the only way I could even function during the zerg. I made one to turn effects on and one to turn them off. Someone overly annoying and spammy in town? No problem.

Well would you look at that. A far greater explanation of your stance. Looks like my question did a lot more than you think. You managed to provide a far greater and civil answer than your previous. One that excels at providing more insight on the heart of defensive matter. A bit snarky still, but better than (again) the previous.

I find it far more interesting that your question had not already been answered to your satisfaction after 7 pages of exposition. I know I'm good at explaining things, but I'm not 60+-posts-of-explanation good.

Which makes me think, perhaps, just maybe, you're intentions weren't exactly....pure. So to speak. Playing the devil's advocate is one thing, but intentional obtuseness is something else entirely.

As for my so-called "snark," the only way to effectively deal with special snowflakes who believe the world should be shaped so as to cater to their desires is with mockery and ridicule. The mature, adult approach to a situation such as this is not "change The Thing so it suits me" but rather "what, if anything, can I do in game to mitigate or remove this problem I'm having?"

If no vehicle of satisfaction exists, then by all means, advocating on behalf of adding such a measure is worthwhile (e.g. back in alpha, before they added GLD as an option to help facilitate testing in-game. A mild oversight that nonetheless was brought to the fore by bringing it to the forums). But when such measures of satisfaction already exist but are intentionally ignored because JUST...COME ON GUYS, then clearly we're dealing with....let's be diplomatic and call them "emotionally immature" individuals.

Regardless, I'm happy to have helped with some enlightenment here. Had I known it would be needed, I would have obliged earlier, but I abhor the idea of posting redundancy on a forum if it can be at all avoided.
