So you'd rather have a player that only helps by being situational instead of someone that's more consistent with damage? If that BLM manages to kill an enemy that everyone else had to work towards hurting, it's not going to really mean as much as a BLM that contributes as well in order to kill them. In other words, it's better for the BLM to be pushing good numbers than having our other DPS work twice as hard to pick up his slack.
If this was Savage content, you wouldn't look to the BLM and say "well, you're behind by 200 DPS in the beginning, but it's okay because you killed the enemy, then follow up with "alright, NIN, you have to do 200 more DPS to make up for our BLM's damage". That's just not right. You'd expect everyone to meet a certain potential and pull their own weight, so I'm not entirely sure how you can justify it being okay for a PLD to be doing more DPS than a BLM in The Feast, just because the BLM gets a kill, lol. You're not looking at the big picture here.
This is true, lol. I just always say 100k for an easier understanding since I'm not entirely familiar with exactly how much they should be pushing in there. I've seen a couple usually pushing 150k and one in particular usually pushing about 175k, but he's in the top 10 on Primal right now.
Don't worry. If it makes you feel any better, I was ranked #9 on the second day the season began, then dropped +60 ranks on the third day, the most out of any player that day. A day later, I did a little better, but on the next day, I wasn't even in the top 100 any more. At that point, I seriously just considered quitting right then and there since things had been going so badly lately.
I somehow managed to claw my way out though and bump up to #71 or so, then in the top 50 and I've been hovering around there lately because I reached gold a couple of nights ago, but it didn't even last a day. I lost it on the next day due to RNG matchmaking again (go figure), but that seems to be the case so far. I'll enter a new tier, then lose it, then have to get it back, lol. It happened when I first reached silver too.
So, I'm trying to work back up to my qualifier again at the moment (only about 30 points away now). Point is, just keep at it. As much as it sucks now, it can't stay this way forever. Much like everyone's good luck in matchmaking always runs out at some point. After I got my 14 loss streak on the third day, I realized something.
If you lose 100 points or so, just stop. Don't bother trying to fight RNG. You'll just keep losing. It's a gambler's fallacy trap.
You think to yourself "I've been stuck with the same bad DPS 3 times in a row. They can't possibly give him to me again", so you queue up again thinking things will be different. 'Lo and behold, he's on your team again and you lose once more, lol. If it's not something like that, they will simply replace one bad player with another (like finally getting rid of the bad DPS for a bad healer or vice versa).
As a tank myself though, I want to apologize on behalf of the other tank that mistreated you. It was completely unprofessional and unjustified. I've fought you on the battlefield a few times and have been your ally before, so I know your weaknesses, but I also know your strengths as well. You're one of the better healers we have around Primal right now, so I hope you stick with it.
Good luck out there in any case.
