I stopped reading when you think overall damage actually means something.

This is coming from someone with 300+ Feast matches plus 3000+ Frontline matches

Oh, so we're bringing Frontline experience into this now as well? In that case, you should probably back down now, lol. Also, overall damage does mean something. As a PLD, I managed to do more damage than the enemy's BLM in one of my matches earlier. Now you sit there and try to tell me that doesn't mean anything.

If your DRG isn't pushing over 100k, they're shit. Plain and simple. Every DPS has a certain standard to meet in there (think of it as a DPS check) and when they don't meet said standard, they shouldn't be surprised if you call them out on it, especially if they're already silver tier with this job, but haven't gotten a good rotation down for PvP (since some jobs have to be played differently from PvE).

A BLM could do 50k worth of damage and still do a whole lot for the team than a DRG with 130k damage I'm not sure where you're getting at with this.

If they can't do the average threshold of damage then they're just a liability and hint that they took no effort or don't know their basic rotations. Anyone can do the basics and yes some things aren't measured but obvious things like damage/damage taken vs healing taken/ healing output can be obviously seen after the game in comparison to what they've done to determine how good they are.

If they have nothing to contribute as a person but can do damage, at least they're doing something. Each person has ups and downs in games in terms of contribution but your rotation knowledge is constant.

On the subject on dps dealt, it really depends on the context. A BLM doing 50k over the course of a match is pretty bad even if you consider him using CCs (at which point, there's more than enough opportunities for him to get damage off). Likewise if a DRG is doing 130k but nothing is really dying (espesically if the dps is not focused).

In the case of monk though, their potential damage is incredibly high on top of having oGCDs that can cripple physical and casters alike (through pacification and spell speed debuff), and ignore their stance requirements (Which not only means OIP spam, but also dps abilties like snap or bootshine) very frequently with their 40s CD somersault.

If a DRG is not doing over 130K they are shit.

Monk's and DRG have similar burst, but I find that a Monk in PvP has more utility. DRG has CC for a stun, which overlaps with tanks and most other Jobs. Monks Pacify (they also have stun) is pretty OP as it does not overlap with anything another class can do. That and with the Fists they are better at running people down/away or just being tanky.

And BLM damage can be pretty pointless. Assuming they are sleeping people a ton, then fishing for procs when not putting out hurt with fire 4's (which is very short but very strong burst).

I was #11th place (around 1025 score) yesterday and then in one night dropped off the top 100.

I think my healing is to blame rather than others people though.
Its just very Discouraging, stressful and a little I feel a little heartbroken at a few of the comments thrown at me and I just lose faith.

I even broke down crying last night after a tank just suddenly left before the match even started after seeing me "Well we lost you should uninstall your life Healer".

I think the stress really getting to me, To the point were I'm not enjoying being a healer anymore.

The reason why there's a lack of healers in top ranked is because DPS is the easiest to climb with. If you have half a brain with DPS you'll at least make it to Gold. Full brains gets you plat+

everyone can always keep improving, you should definitely keep playing. everyone will win some and lose some, try focus on having fun games and improving and enjoy the games you win rather than focus on ones that are lost. the best way to get better is to keep playing and trying hard. we played some games this morning and i can honestly say you are already an above average player. i would be happy to have you on my team. however, you always have more to learn. if you try to learn from when things go wrong and just keep trying your best im sure you will get even better and even still should always have fun ingame. you will have a chance to get even better than before as you climb back up the rankings.

who said this? i suggest you report them. fwiw imo you've gotten a lot better since i began playing with you a couple months ago in WD. if someone thinks you're a liability i would disagree
