congrats! I wouldn't have expected it!

Thanks! It took me about 1h30 of tries +- before winning, but its kinda like the difficulty is random, there's that one time where i got the item that increases stats + the item that dont make you loose stamina and i used SUPER SPRINT for nearly THE WHOLE RACE and still didnt win, the NPC was faster than me on super sprint for nearly the entire race... so ridiculous![]()
My second experience with the challenge was that the npc was just consistently strong. For the first 9 races we just kept ending up with him ahead by a half second, no matter what combination of items I tried on him. And the course is pretty bare, so there aren't that many opportunities to slow him. Finally though he stepped in a morbol and that was enough.
If at the start of the race it is raining and you don't have a Foul Weather Chocobo just give up and watch some TV, there is zero chance of catching the lead NPC(s). Their chocobo has to be Foul Weather as it gets such a bonus to its speed its impossible to catch up to. Stupid how racing in this game favors Foul Weather so much, you are at such a disadvantage if your chocobo is not that weather type.
