feeling sorry for new players

i thought i'd bring up a subject thats easily overlooked with this patch.

i feel sorry for those players who've only been playing a breif time and just got use to how things work as they are.

now this huge patch is coming changing alot of the key systems and i cant help but feel sorry for them because they'll have the hardest time adjusting, especialy if thier not aware of the lodestone yet.

Ive been playing for about 2 months, and I'm looking forward to this patch as much as you ffxiv vets out there ^^

erm go make a new char on selbina, we get LOADS of new players coming in. i was a recruitment officer for a LS on selbina and know just how many new players are coming through that server lol. granted some are transfers from another server ect but you CANNOT deny theres new players.

my partner for one is a new player, i can think of at least 5 other new players who i've spoken to on selbina

Most new people getting into XIV now should already know the game is going through massive changes, so it shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

yeah but its still a pretty heavy change to adapt to and can be fustrating if you have only just got used to how things work the way they are pre patch.

i been playing a while and even i'll probably be fairly daunted by the changes

I think they'll get used to it pretty easily. The fact is that if you haven't been playing the game since the beginning, but are used to the way things are now, you came into the game during what was already a tough era to live in. We're in a bit of an SP drought for options, everyone but them would be fairly rich, and the in-game communities aren't growing, so most established groups are already centric to their core membership.

If anything, I think they'll have it easier after they re-learn it. It's not really a good time to be a Final Fantasy XIV player period - not yet, at least. Things ARE looking up, though, quite a bit.

Yeah, sorry for them. We should have let things as they are.

Or better yet, change things slowly spanning several years so its not so hard on them .

On a serious note, any gamer, casual or hardcore can adapt quickly.
