What are you doing to prep for 3.3?

How were you planning on acquiring the 3.3 gear? If you were planning on getting it from the Marketboard, then by all means, forego melding your white stuff. If you were planning on making it ... Then get your gear melded for 3 star stats at a minimum. I"m not too sure how you can reach 850 craft 820 control and eat CP food using just the white gear though.

I met someone once who had a white set (maybe green accessories) and was able to reach it with seafood stew, but I don't think they had a single CP materia melded anywhere and it was probably just barely.

you cannot reach requirments. You would need the offhand and mainhand plus 2 ilvl 170/180 pieces iirc. I honestly doubt I will use the new crafting set that will come in 3.3 most likley it will be a omni set that looks horrible. I would rather have to remeld the ilvl 170 gear especially cuz of the looks
