It baffles my mind how these extremely important things keeps getting delayed. 1.19 looks fantastic, but whatever patch these long-sought items are implemented in will be godly.

i know they are working on them...but why in gods name are they NOT one of the first things out the door? you can say all day "stop complaining its coming", but i won't, this shit should have been taken care of WAY early on, not after a year of the game coming out and we still have no set date....ITS BASIC FUNCTIONS PEOPLE.
this is still a service, we can complain...especially about something stupid obvious.
"hey there is a big black hair in my soup...should i complain?"
"but the soup is so good, guess il just eat around it"
....il bitch...sorry.

you all know the core problem right?
its Squire ENIX instead of square SOFT
lol complete trolling stopped and onto a serious reply,
yeah the basic systems should have been done prior to the battle adjustments ect. imo the battle system from with stamina worked. it wasnt great, but it worked. instead of removing stamina and starting work on battle adjustments they should have added search functions and linkshell admin options like being able to boot people outta your ls when they arent online. basic party search like menu > party > search > **list of all available parties opens** or menu > party > recruit > type in message about party > start recruiting > done, your now recruiting.
but of course, they want to do things backwards so we're stuck with that. let them do thier jobs, loose more money by prolonging the readiness of relaunch and be happy you dont have to pay yet
i logged in again (and mysidia is supposed to be a big server) ...1 thing in search...and yet again its an LS only thing....logged off a minute later.you all know the core problem right?

probably gonna do the same thing even after this update...i get bored playing this as a solo game very quickly.
so shout or recruit your own party instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you.
players in this game seem far to lazy "oh no ones recruiting, well i wont bother playing" FORM YOUR OWN FOR GOD SAKES
Payment system still sucks.
no its just a giant sign that noone uses the damn thing. ive tried making groups more then enough times just to get 1 other person, we sit there, then we leave.
so shout, the lack of use of the party search/recruit is no excuse for not forming a party.
make do with options available to you until things are fixed
The problem was the game was such an utter trainwreck at release that no matter where they started trying to salvage it, people would be dissatisfied.
What I assume is going through their minds is they can postpone the shitty, cumbersome search system because all five of us who play the game congregate in Ul'dah anyway, so we can just shout for a party in the interim. They decided to fix the battle system first because most of us are playing this with an emphasis on grinding combat classes, so the battles need to be entertaining.
Honestly, I'm as annoyed by the perceived sluggishness of their progress as most people here, I expected a hell of a lot more hot fixes to be going on. And they're only now fixing the fact that if you're unfortunate enough to get disconnected, I hope you enjoy fruitlessly trying to log on for the next 15 minutes, an error that has plagued this game since release. However, I also realize what a behemoth of a project they've had to take on, trying to fix what the original FFXIV crew botched so terribly. Here's to hoping 1.20 will surprise us with the basics fixed and operational.
