expansion ?? (mummy, mummy i'm crawling can you enter into a marathon now) the game is not 100percent ready, why would the release more? you might want more end game content but if the don't fix the game first, you won't have any1 to play this end game with.
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
we would hear stuff for 1.20 and 1.21 i don't feel like we getting anything bigger./We all know there will be a "live" Q&A sesion where almost every meaningful question is filtered out or given the "We cant answer that at this time" treatment but is that it?
What huge feature or features will yoshi announce? Auction house? Jump? A new non terrible UI? A new combat system that is fun? Implementation of client side actions that make actions such as trading or interaction with retainers and other NPCs faster? Possibly one or more other features that are standard in most games that we dont have after a year+?
Maybe the huge announcement is to tell us PS3 tests are going into beta "soon".
beta for ps3 if anything would be next year
Or maybe its to tell us they will start charging us $15 a month "soon".
it's 12.99 not 15$ like all the dumb western games
Or maybe its just a bunch of fluff (Obama hope and change type stuff)
that happening little by little
Or maybe they will announce an expansion is in the works.
expansion is 1year away from the ps3 release at best
What do you expect for this monumental occasion?

No I'm sure they are, but I'd still like to know that they have an expansion planned. Expansions are typically what ensures major content additions. Knowing that they have an expansion planned would greatly assuage fears that they are taking a "wait and see" approach regarding the future development of major content in this game depending on how all their "fundamental changes" work out.
I'd like to see an expansion for PC players along with the release of the game on PS3 (sort of like they did with Zilart), and I don't think I'm alone.
Dont have anything to do, including endgame content, you wont have anyone to play with.
Also what you considered "fixed" might not be what others do. I feel after 1.19 we dont need anymore fixes just content. Maybe server fixes too but we need fking content!!!
They might have an expansion planned, that still doesn't mean anything is guaranteed. And I don't want to hear about any additional cash-ins before the game is fixed and the vanilla is fleshed out.No I'm sure they are, but I'd still like to know that they have an expansion planned. Why wouldn't they have plans to take this game far? I mean, plans doesn't hurt them.
Honestly though, at this point we'd be looking at 2013 expansion at best. They're not holding back in the slightest- that would be incredibly dumb. You don't take the careful way out once you've decided to bring this game up to par. It's all or nothing.
*that game optimization is underway
*that the server issues are being addressed
*1.20 will be bigger than 1.19
*1.21 will be bigger than 1.20
*PS3 information
i'd be happy with all of that.
even just like 2-3 of those.
it would make sense for them to hold back ...this part is free. later if they don't put out enough content everyone will be gone in a few months or even earlier if they already can see theres not enough new content. holding it all back and turning it all into an expansion or something huge would be best bet, why put 2-3 new things at a time now. later then only have 2-3 ,when they can put like a dozen new stuff in all at once like the game should of had at launch.
reality is no expansion when p2p starts will be worse thing that can happen, that is them putting there faith in the players thinking that all of us that stayed free will stay paying just with the promises of content every couple of months. reality is they will leave. content will come just as slow as it does now then and most won't pay while waiting. even tera online isn't launching in the states till they make an expansion to go with it. ffxi had zilart at launch. they should really be in the works for an expansion as well for ffxiv.
This is a safe assumption. I can't them talking about anything more than this. Also, it will give them a chance to show and have us see first hand the progress of the jobs and the look of how they play and perhaps even some zone redesign progress.
This part is definitely not free- for them. It is in their best interests to bring this game up to the point where they can charge us as fast as they possibly can. They know where that point is, and are doing everything they can to get there as soon as possible.it would make sense for them to hold back ...this part is free.
The fact that they are redoing the areas should be enough of a hint. There is no one creating new areas- the whole team is focused on what we have here, right now. There is -no one- to develop this magical expansion at this stage. If there is, they are playing with fire and hopefully get burned by it.
When your game is slammed critically and commercially you don't diddle around with expansions and expect things to get better. You fix what's wrong with the current game and then start thinking about cashing on the playerbase.
