Ouch sorry you had to go through all that... I've been solo tanking and DRG the hell out of Rav EX a lot lately xD When I tank I always put a bright mark over my head, and said " Find me on the other side of Rav after stack and bring me those preys" before the first pull. The error I could think of is the MT of the party you were in was trying to rotate and hit Rav without getting the slow debuff, I tried it once but not recommend of doing it because it hinder physical damage dps on Seeing X mechanic. It's rare finding a good party through DF.

I really was hoping mentors would not live up to the stereotype of being the worst player on the team. Losing faith.

Did an EX roulette in Amdapor Hard with a Warrior tank that seemed oddly squishier than usual. I didn't think much of it until near the end of the dungeon where I decided to check out his glamour for whatever reason. Turns out he wasn't wearing any pants. Apparently the Monk noticed much earlier but decided to not say anything and roll with it, thinking it was intentional. Once he realized that, he said he was going to glamour but forgot. Him being a Lalafell made it impossible to notice visually.

Laughs were had, he put on his pants, and then we wrecked the boss.

Me and the BF did our Leveling roulette, got Sunken Temple normal. Yawwwwwn, but whatever. Party comp is WAR, AST (green leaf), me/BRD, and BRD (mentor crown). We start the dungeon, nobody says anything in party chat, which is fine because, y'know, Sunken Temple. Only strange thing I notice right away is that the other BRD AoE/Quick Nocks EVERY mob (the first one, for example, he was AoE'ing until pretty much zero TP). I don't say anything because it doesn't really matter, and I've got double dotting down enough to the point that I don't care. Just found it interesting, considering bard AoEs are mediocre, and at level 33ish, even worse. We get to the mob before the first boss, me and my BF are in TS. He asks for TP song, I tell him I don't have it. I mention that I don't think I ever saw the AST draw any cards.

BF asks jokingly, "WTB Spire." It seems this causes the AST to remember they have cards, and they draw (Bole, go figure.) BF makes another joke/helping attempt, "That's Bole. I need Spire. Cheat please." AST just lol's and we go into first boss fine.

Going to last boss, we have no problems, except if you would consider the other BRD's AoE urges a problem. Hey, their DPS loss. I die once trying to proc the Crocodile's tail swipe (#Lag), but whatevs.

The final boss door opens up, AST types in chat "BRB". BF says something like, "can't wait 1 and half minutes?" AST says "been holding it in sorry" after a VERY long delay. Long enough that we both thought he had done his business and gotten back. BF takes it as his que to pull, we both notice the AST not moving (nor the BRD), so we run out to reset boss. Unfortunately the AST went while inside the boss room, so he was a fatality.

BF makes a comment about how long it took AST to type that, and that he thought that was his que to pull. AST finally comes back, again says he's been having to go the entire time, and says "kick me".

I say, "seriously? c'mon. if you really have to go, then eat the penalty. not gonna waste a kick on that." (I had assumed maybe he had plans, didn't realize he had to take a piss or something.) Suddenly, BRD jumps in who was quiet the entire time. He goes on to call me and BF elitist jerks, and that my BF's tanking was awful, and that somebody must've carried him through A4S (as his Axe is glamoured into the A4S Axe).

Me and the BF have a chuckle, BF informs the BRD that we just carried 4 new people through A4S earlier. BRD makes a comment along the lines of, "OT for Gordias: damage damage damage." BF informs him that BRD must obviously not know the fights (A3S and A4S), and that he tanks the first and third leg, swaps forth, etc. I chime in that there's no reason to be white knighting or to be starting a fight, in regards to the BRD. BRD goes on to insult BF's tanking again. BRD says he's gaining threat while in shitty gear, even more so than me (as I had been piping up here and there). I say, "of course you're going to generate aggro. You're aoeing on mobs with only three enemies. gg." BF informs him that he's been out of tank stance the entire time. This whole time I'm not really bothering and still out DPSing him, mind you, while both of us are typing. BRD is also refusing to do mechanics, so that's a thing.

We kill it. BF is annoyed a bit at this point, so he leaves right away. I say, "thanks for starting a fight, bard. luv you." As I'm clicking the portal to leave, BRD types out, "and you are elitist dime a dozen df assholes, sorry you had to deal with that, healer. you did great."

...this definitely is... especially with only 3ish mobs? Not...worth it....

Ravana Ex on DF.

Funny thing is, Rav Ex is completely doable without a healer, few weeks back me and an fc member were doing 1 tank/7 dps runs for the bird mount. Group you were in can't have been that great as all but maybe one move (?) is avoidable damage, and that happens early on so your hp naturally climbs back up

So I woke up ealier than usual, and decided to play a bit so I could get my lore top. I usually wait for my partner to log since he's a tank and I don't have to handle shitty ass idiots in DF but this time, I went without him, and I got to say, THANK YOU for restorating faith in amazing good tanks, especially with the run I had with the Warrior, he was an amazing tank, so again, thank you! I wanted to tell him after the run but he ran out of duty as soon as it was over!

That's all I had to say, for now!

I suppose 60 Bard AoEs aren't bad, but you must understand that coming from BLM being my alt... well. xD
But it's IMO that at level 30ish there is no real need to AoE.
