    You don't need a shared housing person for that. Anyone (even a random stranger walking by) can tend the plants to stop them wilting. Only people with permissions can actually fertilise though (because it changes the grow time which could catch the owner out if it grew/wilted before they expected).

    Adding someone to the shared housing certainly would make it easier for someone to actually get to your house to do it though!
