[Request] Can we please have decent looking horses?

The thing I don't like about the ponies is their tails. They kind of move in a huge clump, like you described as super glue. It reminds me of Play-Doh. It would be nice if they had actual hair like tails instead. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with them, I don't really like Nightmare's design but that's just my personal opinion.

This is why we can't have nice things. Everyone takes a direct post that does not sugar-coat saying "I find your horses really not so well done because maybe they are possibly not to my liking but please don't be offended by my opinion...oh nvm what I said, I am sorry I hurt your feelings...I'll be over there admiring your pretty horses."

Please, stating facts is not insulting.I work with MMOs every day and believe me, if devs don't have a thick skin and sulk every time they get criticized, they will not get very far. I use my Nightmare pretty often as well (preferred land mount) but that doesn't keep me from wishing it would actually...you know....look good?

Someone didn't read my next post. You're reading way too much into a single line there. I like the current mounts and could really care less what you think of them. They look like what they're supposed to look like - tempered Nightmares (or Unicorns, in the case of Shiva's). That said, I also don't really want to see the game getting overrun with a bunch of horses when lore-wise we really don't have them and basically use Chocobos in place of them. I find the Grand Company warhorses a little perplexing for that reason.

I am not telling anyone what they should like. Did you find me snapping at people because they disagreed with my preference here? No. Instead, you choose to get offended by my dislike of the looks of the current ponies. If they would polish them up, fix proportions and remove the superglue, I'd be perfectly content.

However, as I am well aware that our current ponies are being liked (see how I am NOT ignorant like some people?), I would find it fairer to just offer a new mount. The amount of work needed for a re-design is also almost the same so why not?

I'm not offended at all. I just feel if you were less negative in your first post that you'd draw less negativity in response. That's all. I'm also very glad you didn't pretend to speak for everyone like I've seen way too many posters around here do.

P.S: I would pay for a decent looking horse. Also, I don'tcare if you hate the mog station system

You're barking up the wrong tree here, though. I have 7 retainers, a red Magitek, and a Bennu. I like Mog Station. xD

The in game horses are fine. Be happy you have such things in the first place, as traditionally horses don't exist in any FF world, only chocobos.

I don't like this kind of attitude, why should we be thankful that a game implemented something in attempt to keep people running old content? Of course the mounts are nice, but just because horses don't exist in the FF world doesn't mean we have to think they're perfectly designed and never complain about them. If we don't like something in game, we're allowed to express that, no matter what kind of content it is. Not to mention Sleipnir is a paid mount.

My goro tribe au ra came all the way from her homeland just to steal Sleipnir from Odin, she is content.

Also there are regular horses they just take a lot of work, but really unless you are an au ra or from Doma chocobos are the designated canon-steed of Eorzea, it would be odd if suddenly there were hundreds of people riding what should be a very rare mount.. but then it's odd that the person responsible for fat chocobos is not rotting in a prison cell for animal cruelty so I suppose horses could happen eventually..

And it's also odd how there's hundreds of people riding a legendary steed called Kirin, as well as an ancient canonically dead wyvern called Twintania, an individual Black Chocobo seemingly cloned a thousand times... or how about an actual Voidsent, a nest of now adult Behemoth that count in the thousands from a single dead mother tended to by one person, a transformed father of dragons being rode by thousands simultaneously.

Could go on, but I think that's enough to get the point across, right?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around why you want a horse in a Final Fantasy game when you have huge ass chocobos to ride. Though at the same time I refuse to ride the horses because their manes and tails look like giant amorphous cotton candy poofs. Draft Chocobo for me for life.

Nah, i didn't address you personally with most of the statements, especially the mog station, that was more general to avoid the "but we already pay a sub" comments.

Also, I don't want the game overrun with horses either, I would just like one pretty horse. The warsteed doesn't count for me, I don't do any PvP and as I said before, you can hardly see a horse among the armor. I don't mind grinding a horse but PvP is a no-go imo.
