I am still kind of confused. Please answer this question someone. Will any raw materials (not crafted in anyway) be removed from the game or now useless (like many branches)? If so, I want to NPC those, so please help compile a list.

If you have a base raw material (ie. Limonite, Iron Sand etc.) you will not be able farm these things but will be able to craft with them if you have them. They will still be in your inventory but you will not be able to obtain more of them. Only some branch types will be removed from the game that correspond to the Logs being removed. That does not mean they will be deleted from your inventory. Eventually they will be when/if another update changes all of the recipes associated with those branches. Unless the patch notes specifically state that a recipe using those branches has changed then that recipe will remain the same and you will be able to use those branches for those recipes. Once you run out of those branches however you will not be able to do that synth anymore unless you buy or get them from another player who may have some. Also please cross reference the "Items that will no longer drop from Monsters" list with the "Items that can no longer be gathered list" for things that can no longer be farmed. Check the "Items no longer available in NPC shops" also to be sure. Please also keep in mind that things like Fine, River and Sea Sands will still be craftable just not sold, dropped or gathered.

Just wanted to expand on this.
Please take note people : River, Sea and Fine Sand have not been completely removed from the game. While you can't buy, gather, or have it dropped, you can still synth/desynth those items.
Instead, the devs have introduced a recipe that requires Fine Sand (Vintage Hauby). This fairly strongly signifies their intention to keep Fine Sand in the game, albeit far more difficult to get. The increased difficulty in obtaining it will, of course, have a significant impact on the crystal economy given how many people rely on Fine Sand at the moment.
However on the counter-balancing side, the new recipes which will be available won't need as many crystals and shards as they did previously.
Additionally, to keep things in perspective, it is entirely possible to desynth your shards and crystals from fish, without any Fine Sand at all.
No need to panic, the sky isn't falling Henny-Pennys, they haven't prevented us from desynthing crystals in to shards, or fish into crystals or shards, they've just made the intermediate item (Fine Sand) more difficult to obtain.
If the devs think Fine Sand access is far too easy as it stands, then it's within their right and ability to correct that balance. Personally I have absolutely no problem with this.
