I also may be in the minority here but I'd very much like to see less focus on new hairstyles and more focus on expanding the other, more neglected customisation options.

Real eyebrows for Highlander men would be pretty great - as would a more classically handsome base face. Every race could do with some new scar and tattoo options (which I assume are about as easy as new hairstyles to implement, if not more...)

While new hairstyles do make me happy, some of these would too.
For scars, body scars come to mind (on arms or chest for example).

I'm sure this will please a lot of people...yet at the same time there's very little that remains distinct or exclusive when it comes to the playable races. With that in mind I can't help but worry that eventually everything will be made available to everybody. I think it's important for some stuff to remain exclusive and tied to particular playable races.

You're not alone in liking racial flavour and wanting some to stay racially locked, but I can also see the want to unlock the hairstyles. I suppose my real gripe with racial flavour in this game is that their racial lore isn't really extensive, so the flavour isn't super strong. With that, it may be harder for some to be passionate about racial locked looks, while others don't like it to begin with.

More customization on the whole would be great, but I'm alright with sprinkling in some hairstyles for the time being. If anything for hairstyles, I would like for long hairstyles for men (no headbands, and some options with bangs), clipping be damned. For females I would like to see that messy bob for females, the one from the contest.

Yeah...there is a hair that I think midlanders/highlanders have that I like..but I don't want to change races for it.

Yeah, plenty of nice hairstyles only available to certain races -- wonder how big job it'd be to have them available for all races.

We're currently prioritizing the addition of new hairstyles that can be enjoyed by all races, but we will continue to look into opening up previously exclusive hairstyles to other races as well. If there are any specific hairstyles you would like to see added, please let us know so we can use them for future reference!

Imagine the amount of hairs that would be made available if they did away with stupid gender and race locks.. is there really still "male" and " female" hairstyles these days?
EDIT : SWEET I just saw the mod post, yes please make all hairs available for everyone! so many cute hairs you never even see from certain races becuase nobody can use them!

PS: Take the gender lock off FF13 hairs!

Yep i don't even understand why they didn't do it sooner. Make every existing hairstyles available for every races at once, please SE. Not one or two every X patches.

When was the last time a hairstyle made it to another race ?

I really want this one for my FemRoe. I remember back during the closed beta when i was still a miqo'te, i was so disappointed she couldn't use it.
