Tired of the grind for weekly gear?

This is the most lazy thread I have seen in a LONG while. It's only 450 tomes you need to get in SEVEN DAYS. You can just do daily exp roulette everyday and it is done. You DONT have to do it all in hours or a day.

What is wrong with people?! I do feel sometimes that the team should NOT pay any attention to any requests and carry on doing their job. What's next? Can I get gear delivered by moogle mail please?

This is just OUTRAGEOUS. Stop being BLOODY lazy or play something else.

Congratulations on missing the entire point. No one is lazy or saying the grind is hard. Infact the grind is anything but hard seeing as you're hard capped every week in both alex and tomestones. They're saying its the same old formula since 2.0, and its grown stale and boring and they'd like something new to freshen things up. No one is asking to get the gear easier, they just want different ways to obtain it.

How OUTRAGEOUS and LAZY of them to get bored of running the same boring re-skinned expert roulette dungeons every day for years and wanting something a little more substantial after all this time right?! /s

You don't even need to cap it every week. I don't - I just go with what I feel like doing at the time. I mean, sure, you can rush to get the new shiny gear ASAP but if it risks feeling like a chore then it's best not to do it. The exception, I suppose, is if you're doing high end progression raiding - but I suspect the people complaining aren't in that category and if they are...well, they'll be bashing their heads against a wall doing the same encounters over and over anyway.

Regardless of the actual point.... lol

So wait, you call people lazy when you couldn't even be bothered to actually read what was said and now you're raging that people complain about everything when you came in here just to complain about people complaining, since you don't even care what is being discussed?

    Ok...

Regardless of the actual point? What are we politicians? Shall we start using straw man arguments?

I mean I'll refer you to my post on the previous page with regards to what I think are stupid issues with the game, especially the glaring gaping hole that is any semi decent challenge of midcore content, and as far as my own opinion I just want a more diverse set of raids to gear up with. Not here's 4 bosses have fun for 6 months because now all the previous stuff aint worth doing.
As for 'new dungeons'. Yay more trash mobs to kill every patch. Most people are bored with the dungeon after the first time they run it, I don't really care if I'm running haukke manor or antitower I'm only doing it for the stones so doesn't matter which I'm running as long as the reward is the same.
I'm not saying they should never release new dungeons, but honestly if they cut it down to one dungeon per patch, and spent that extra development time on actual enjoyable gameplay then I'd be much happier.

People are picky, problem is SE listens to people asking for steps of faith and DPS check nerfs, rather than things like this.

That may be because the content feel stall and very repetitive ?

The single-greatest contributing factor to player fatigue is, I believe, the reduction in the number of farm dungeons from three to two.

With three dungeons Expert Roulette boils down to: "The dungeon that's the fastest"; "That dungeon I hate"; and "Well, at least it's not that dungeon I hate".
eg. Haukke Manor HM, Pharos Sirius, and Copperbell HM respectively from patch 2.1; Brayflox HM, Amdapor City, and Halatali HM from 2.2; or Wanderer's Palace HM, Keeper of the Lake, and Amdapor Keep HM from 2.5, to quote a later example.
With only two dungeons to farm tomes however the latter of the aforementioned trifecta is eliminated; we're left with only "The dungeon that's the fastest" and "That dungeon I hate. And this has major ramifications for content longevity.

Ultimately players end up running their least favorite dungeon 1.5x as often, turning "Expert Roulette" into "Expert Cointoss"- reducing every roulette queue to an exercise in binary loathing, rapidly wearing on one's motivation and sanity. A particularly egregious example is the 3.0 Lv60 dungeons, with 5 months of Neverreap causing significant player/subscription attrition.
The endgame formula growing stale is undeniably a factor in this situation, but if Square Enix wants to continue the dungeon/tome system indefinitely they really need to go back to cranking out three dungeons per patch. And if their staff are so strained as to require cutting back dungeons to investigate more experimental content like Diadem this might be an opportunity to hire some more programmers, instead of dumping 100% of the game's subscription/cash-shop profits into FFXV like they're doing currently.

Dear god no, what they need is quality, not quantity.
Make one quality dungeon per patch, and then stop removing it from the expert roulette until expansion. That way you'd have an expert roulette with about 6 or 7 quality dungeons, rather than an expert roulette with 3 trash mob filled dungeons and a level 60 roulette with 100 other useless trash mob filled dungeons.

That's a nice sentiment, but this is an MMO: people are voracious in their appetite for new content, and there's a very real maximum threshold for quality in a system so tightly constrained by netcode and latency.
If it comes down to a zero-sum game of quality vs. quantity I'd rather have the latter, at least if I'm expected to interact with the final product for an extended period. Neverreap taught me that lesson; I'd sooner drink bleach than run that dungeon ever again and the more dungeons there are to dilute the roulette pool and lower the odds of that happening the better.

But again, this is a problem that can be fixed by throwing more people at it and I'm firmly of the opinion that Square Enix are either criminally underfunding the game's development or that or Yoshida is an inept moron that can't direct or delegate for shit.
