That's an opinion he can't be a hypocrite by expressing his opinion which you both are chewing each other over an "Opinion"
Also Welsper summed up a good deal of it.
He can say what he wants if it doesn't pertain to you then don't answer him. Hence the saying " The Guilty Speaks."
Just fyi in case you get the wrong idea, because you come as really defense as if everyone is trying to attack you and is against you. I'm trying to tell you to ignore the bad apples.

I have a habit of being really defensive, it's just my nature, apologies. He can say what he wants if it doesn't pertain to yuo then don't answer him. Hence the saying " The Guilty Speaks."

Since when does that get the label "hypocrite"? Hypocrite means you're not consistent in your beliefs or opinions; if he insults another player with his he's only a hypocrite if the same standard doesn't always apply.
SE please let us get these outfits too, I am tired of waiting lol ^.^
The hypocrite comment was aimed at the fact he was using the gear being virtual as an excuse to call us whiny yet he is playing a virtual game and commenting on forums based on said game. The item being virtual makes no difference on its value to people when the entire game itself isn't "real".

That's....still not hypocritical. Guy has fun playing games, says people shouldn't get worked up over a particular item not being available because it's not real. No hypocrisy there. The hypocrite comment was aimed at the fact he was using the gear being virtual as an excuse to call us whiny yet he is playing a virtual game and commenting on forums based on said game. As someone who couldn't care less about the maid outfit (though I do want that Ifrit mask), there's definitely more to it than just items for me. It's the fact that they were willing to put aside 50%+ of the playerbase entirely, and then toss them aside as an afterthought to make some extra money (or promotion for their game in Japan). There are already people going around saying that the thoughts of the English playerbase don't matter as much as the Japanese, we're already second grade customers getting hastily done translations with Live Letters, lots of official developer posts never make it here without the help of our brilliant fan translators on Blue Gartr or Reddit, and so on. It just sucks that they're treating players outside of Japan as 2nd grade customers, but hey, that's no surprise from Japanese developers.
It's good to know that they're in the works of planning something out though, hopefully it's through the Mogstation, I'd even pay $10 for the two masks if they were bundled (or $5 each)! I don't get a bottle of water with it, but hey, it is what it is. Let's just hope they don't pull this stunt again, or if they did, announce worldwide plans at the same time instead of turning a Live Letter into a promotion for merchandise and items we can't even purchase.
Totally agree. That whole thing was more of a sidetrack about someone completely misusing the term "hypocrite". And this isn't the first time SE has been seen as favoring JP customers. It's to the point where they can't be unaware of the consequences of doing stuff like this.As someone who couldn't care less about the maid outfit (though I do want that Ifrit mask), there's definitely more to it than just items for me.
