


You're not talking about the job here, you're mentioning a group of players. I know you're not saying DRK sucks, but you're still talking about these bad players.I've always thought that WAR was a little harder to heal than PLD but I have to actually say DRK because sometimes the level of suck DRK's seem to have vastly outpaces the WAR.
Not saying DRK sucks as a job but I feel like it attracts more bad tanks than the other two, too often get DRK's in roulette at full 210+ who die during trash pulls during my 5 second CS cd, despite a regen, e4e and sometimes even a medica 2 regen active.


tldr:
A newer PLD is very likely to be easier to heal than a WAR of equivalent skill, but in a general comparison there is negligible difference if they both know what they're doing.
Assuming each tank knows what they're doing, the more relevant stuff comes down to the mechanics of a particular fight.
If each tank doesnt know what they're doing, PLD's are the easiest to heal and WAR is the most difficult, but its mostly because of the class design.
PLD is mostly: Push button, get mitigation. ShO/Grit > Defiance. Not to mention, PLD can block and parry.
So, PLD is more likely to be able to pull clutch mitigation. If the PLD fails, it would still mitigate more than a failing WAR; plus, PLD has a higher likelihood of pulling RNG mitigation thanks to block
WAR need to manage stacks and throw IB at the proper times.
They needs to synergize their mitigation appropriately for the amount of incoming damage, esp vs trash. EX: you could throw down vengeance, bloodbath, convalescence, self heals, and berserk on a large trash pull. But will you have appropriate mitigation for the next pull if you through down too hard on this pull? etc.
Whereas on PLD, many skills dont synergize and its not something you need to consider, ex: you shouldnt use Sentinel and Rampart at the same time

Yeah I know but when a job seems to collect these players I figured it was worth mentioning because due to this... DRK is hardest to heal
So for full clarity
PLD : easy sauce
WAR : scary yo-yo but not too bad
DRK : attracts (seems to ) poor tanks so very hard many times
-- if played correctly just under PLD as mild sauce
None are hard they are well balanced when done right but WAR is scary and DRK gets people who think a 2H blade means beefy DPS job, PLD allows for more user error thus easiest to heal
Actually i would say none.... They all equal in terms of healing.. But its litteral depends whats going on and heres a list of things
- content (magic /physical fights)
- taking on more then you can handle
- bad at using cooldowns
- bad at keeping on ur toes
Litterally the tank roles are determined by the player and how good they are at tanking if they good they will require less healing... If they bad they require more healing

For me it did. When WARs like to stay in deliverance and tank bosses It was hard to keep them up, the extra right side which also has parry offered more mitigation. Also going full vit was not viable when I lvled my healers as aggro was next to non existent.
I'm a tank main tbough, and I won't touch me healer jobs till 4.0. Lmao



What can I say. Parry in gear has never, ever mattered. I'm sitting at 388 parry on DRK, and I don't see any difference whatsoever than when I wore 550+. Again, what made it harder, was the fact that tanks didn't use CDs, not that they wore full VIT or STR. I mean, I'm not pulling that from my sleeve, it's an easy fact to look at. Full VIT/STR on a tank who doesn't use any CD is gonna be a pain, full VIT/STR on a tank who does use them are gonna be easy to heal and keep up.For me it did. It's also kind of funny that you used WAR as an example, since a full STR one would mitigate way more damage with Bloodbath alone than any amount of Parry imaginable on their right side ever would.

Using no CDs is hard to heal
Staying in OT stance without using CDs and no vitality/parry was even harder to heal.
It just so happens that WAR uses their OT stance a lot more than the other tanks. From my experience ofc.
