Anyone got banned for no reason in the past 2 weeks?

Did anyone got banned in the past 2 weeks without any reason?

I have moved from Aegis to Tonberry server about a month ago.

Around 23rd of March, I have decided to quit FFXIV ARR for a while, then I have received an email notice for account suspension -72hrs on 24th of March.


My pc setting is fairly simple, Windows 7, Microsoft Keyboard, mouse, and a XBOX360 Controller. I have used the same settings for the past 4 years, and I have never used a 3rd party application not even a DPS calculator, or have any relation to RMT activities.

I am confused that if I have never used any bots in my entire game life in FFXIV ARR, and I will be using the same settings to play FFXIV again, will I get banned again for no reason.

Any suggestion?

Are you by any chance using a Security Token? Maybe your account got hacked while you were away and that is why.

Or perhaps you logged in from another IP address & you are not banned but "locked out" till you verify by email that it's you.

Here is the email from SE:

Dear Customer,

We are writing to inform you that we have suspended the FINAL FANTASY XIV service account registered to this e-mail because on 3/24/2016 you breached the FINAL FANTASY XIV User Agreement.

FINAL FANTASYR XIV User Agreement
2.1 Cheating and Botting. You may not create or use any cheats, bots, automation software, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized software designed to modify the Game and gameplay. In addition, you may not take advantage of game system bugs and exploits during gameplay.

The suspension will last a minimum of 72 hours starting upon receipt of this e-mail notification until 2016/03/28 0:00 (GMT) during which time you will be unable to access FINAL FANTASY XIV or your service account.

After I received it, I went to the online service and ask a CSR for this issue, I have advised them that there was no third party tools used and I cannot find a reason of why my account was suspended for 72 hrs, CSR advised that he/she will follow up this case

below is the last email I have got from SE:

After looking into your suspension further we can confirm that there was no mistake made when your account was suspended. Please ensure that you adhere to all game rules to avoid a permanent ban in future.

Now, I am confused :/
I cant even use autofire on my official MS Xbox360 controller or programmed hot keys on my keyboard, a normal regular player have been playing since 1.0 till now and accused for using bot :/

maybe someone report you while you was farming or mining or w/e and SE thought you was using a 3rd party tool. People have been ban forever and there no way they could fix it. They would not unban someone even if the player know 100% they did noting wrong.

Someone can hack your account be ban forever and that it your done that why the OTP is most have thing now at days.


there really noting you can do just try and not get other one. Which suck because you don't even know what you did so it's not like you can stop it from happening again

Original FFXIV ARR - nothing added/changed/modified at all, no 3rd party app, no mods, nothing but only FFXIV ARR

It seems to me that if you didn't log into the game on the 24th, then someone else did. I'd personally scrub my computer for viruses and then change both my email and my game passwords. The 72 hour ban on your account should be lifted now at least, so at the very least you can start playing again, though you'll most likely never get that time back since they remained adamant even when you questioned them when it was active.

it makes no sense at all I have OTP since day one
