i want to name my character shinobu oshino but am not allowed

i am on diablolos NA. The name is not being used on my world. When i try to contact a gm in game and ask why they answer this is not for them to answer. when I contact support they say you should talk to gm. What the hell square why wont you just give me a answer. I should mention that name is available on other worlds

Don't actually put the name up or yanno...someone will steal it.
The answer is "think of your own name, not some other character's".

Also someone MAY have used it, but never logged into the character or anything.
I think if that's the case they won't appear in the Lodestone.

Names from copyrighted works aren't allowed. There seem to be many of them anyway, but that's not really the question here.

A lot of copyrighted named are blacklisted like EveK said. You actually can't even make FC ranks with certain FF names.

I see an Oshino Shinobu, but not the other way around, which is what the OP is asking for.

On a side note, from searching, it's sort of ridiculous how many people in the game have this name, though. Personally I prefer something more original than a name shared (and used in many variants) by a large number of other players.

Add a letter like an extra "u" onto Shinobu.

The above was probably created before the name was added to a list. Most game companies usually only force a rename if someone has reported it.
