America does the dark souls thing too, I wouldn't get upset about it. Also Japanese is the native language, and localisation takes time, be thankful that xiv localisation happens at the same time as the native version

There should be a bigger emphasis on America doing that all the time and in other forms of trade or media. American movies, for example, are super popular in foreign countries, yet they don't see that until months later sometimes. Games made domestically don't get released worldwide simultaneously as well usually, as was stated.

To be fair though, the Souls series has reached a rather huge fanbase to make it essentially a AAA title ever since Dark Souls, so a simultaneous worldwide release expectation really isn't hard to justify people complaining about. I'm just going on a tangent here. The underlying point is that we tend to only look at what's wronging us, and how inhumane or unfair it is to us... not so much about how it affects anyone else but "me" though, if the tables were turned and it was other people who didn't get something we did. It's very funny to see it happen like clockwork.

You know I won't lie, I would've loved to obtain this. I really love the idea of battlemaids and such but my valentione outfit doesn't really fit that well to do a glamour: feels so weird and not elegant at all.. But this really looks awesome...such a shame it's locked.

If it ever gets released somehow I might give it a look. Yes, I'd be fine with mogstation too. At least it's a nice outfit to look for and I would definitely take it just to be a battlemaid.

It's bad enough their cash shop items are so expensive, or that they even have a cash shop in the first place, but come on people. "Hur it's just pixels" is not an argument. You start letting them get away with stuff like this an the Chinese dress, and it will become more commonplace. I don't give them monthly money just to see people in another region reap the rewards.

I'm not overly fussed about the items on the Chinese version since they have a modified version of the game and play on their own servers. However, JP and NA accounts are blended together on the same server, and so it does seem to come off a bit biased when you are allowing one playerbase to get special items and not the other 3.

"Looking into" something and saying we can definitely have it are also two different things. There's nothing wrong with letting SE know what we want as a player base.

They were "looking into" (and as good as promised) an add-on system for FFXIV too. Over 2 years later not only has it not appeared but they've as good as said that it now won't happen. Just like when Yoshi promised to not introduce region locked items, don't actually rely on what is said during promotional releases (like Live Letter). It's better to consider them as a "brainstorming" event as not everything mentioned comes to fruition.

i will be blunt, make a promotional event region locked in a worldwide game is simply unfair, about the glamour or anything else here.... the simple fact to put one part of the community into a priviliege position is not a good thing.

if they start to make special outfit for one region they must do it for every region... the point there is not getting the glamour or something else, but to offer a fair treatement for everyone. because in the end, we can say that the one complaining are entitled or whatever, the trouble remain, some region did get right to some promotional offer that we player from other country don't have the right to have...

but that a bit like the fact that the live letter are still not subbed like while the V1 even a few month later, we need to pass by the forum and often wait a few week before have a decent translation. a lot of information are.... ignored and it's like the non japanese don't have the right to be part of the party, we can only look.... and don't give me the classical it will take too much time, they have team for this in them society for all the other event like FF15 stuff, but well i guess non asian player are simply second grade citizen into FF14.

Exactly.
It's not fair if people are playing the same game, paying the same amount, yet one group of people gets access to certain things first while the other has to wait an indefinite amount of time. If they wanted to do the 7-11 promotion, they should have planned something for the other regions as well and made it so that everyone has a chance at the items at the same time.
