That is a huge waste of time for such little mitigation - Stoneskin is just 10% of their HP. That's half a heal maybe to everyone that you'd be saving. It's really not worth waiting the extra 30 seconds for.
I can't remember at Titan how many cross classes you get, but I recommend this order:
1. Cleric Stance
2. Swiftcast
3. Protect
4. Stoneskin
5. Aero
You can modify that order as you will, but Cleric Stance first is a big one. Your fairy can pretty much solo heal all the first few dungeons without protect up - throw up cleric stance and just act as a 3rd DPS. Swiftcast I like quickly, in case you do get people derping and need to raise. After that protect/stoneskin are useful for the mid-range dungeons, and then Aero is nice for more dps.
I'm not sure you're emotionally stable enough to handle a multiplayer game in general if something like that made you as mad as you were. Get a grip dude.
I don't get it. As a scholar, you literally can stay in cleric stance and not even heal once during most content sub-50. I've run entire dungeons without healing a single time. How did you have to race to catch up on healing? All you had to do was place your pet somewhere in the middle and then you can go get a glass of milk.
Stoneskin is a nearly useless spell imo. I use stoneskin II on my WHM at the start of the instance and that's it. I never used stoneskin I. 10% of hp as a shield with a long cast time? Yea I don't care.
Also if your friend was PLD, maybe had he already SS himself? Not sure if possible with the synchro though, my PLD sucks.
My rule when I tank: im the one who is going to be hit and im supposed to know what kind of mitigation i need before the pull.
I will never pull in A5S or Seph if the healer did not buff me well enough. But in low level content, as long as everybody has protect and no one is d/c, we are ready to go.
Guys I appreciate all the feedback. I take full accountability for what happened. I'm embarrassed but I'm glad I started this thread. My loved ones won't tell me when I'm being a childish, tantrum throwing brat. Strangers have no issue with it, and I need to be told. This is not the best place to bring up, but I do have anxiety and mood disorders that have me behave... Well like this when triggered and I literally need a chill pill.
Those of you who took the effort to see my side of things and speak in my defense, thank you. And those of you who gave your constructive criticism, thanks for not holding back.
I'll get better and try to keep the drama out.
Hi Gemina,
That was very mature of you. It sounds like you had a very emotional response because you had looked forward to the fight for a year, and I am sure you wanted it to be an amazing experience.
It is disappointing when your character is lying dead during an epic fight the first time through the story. I've had situations in 8-man content while learning that I died and the other healer soloed without me and I felt useless. I'm sure the fight got hectic without spells for 30 seconds and you couldn't focus on mechanics that were new to you. And the story would feel like a farce as your character lied dead but then everyone in the story acted like you won when you didn't feel that way yourself.
So I do understand how you felt - I just didn't think the OP was the solution. Hopefully your friends will take another 10 minutes and run it again with you.
Much respect. I hope you enjoy your stay in Eorzea and make many happy memories!Guys I appreciate all the feedback. I take full accountability for what happened.
