    When Someone Dies, Medals Should be Temporarily Awarded to Killing Team Until Taken

    Here's why:



    We lost, by the way. Thanks to the delay in medal pickup.

    Can't tell you how many other people have had this same thing happen. The delay in Medal pick up forces a loss because you dont have a chance to pick up the medals from a last-minute kill. It's no bueno.

    Just to be clear, I'm not saying to change the mechanic. Leave the medals on the ground, if nobody picks them up then all the points go back to the person who died. In the interim, however, the points should temporarily be awarded to the killing team until they are actually picked up or time out.

    The same principle applies to both teams so its fair in some sense. Also people would exploit that and not pick em up when only 20s are left so they don't get more heavy metal stacks.

    All I see there is the time ran out and the team with the highest points won.

    Don't you think you're being a sore loser to the other team who had more medals than you at the end of the game?

    I've been on the other side of this many times and always felt that we did not really win, the other team should have. So no, I don't.

    So basically what you are saying is:

    You didn't pick up the medals before the time ran out, and you lost.

    Therefore the whole system must be changed because you think you deserved to win.

    It leaves too much of a problem from a technical/gameplay standpoint. Coding issues aside, you don't want the "medals hitting the floor" to be a win condition for the other team, you'd still want them to pick it up to end the game. You also don't want people to have the "lead" of having medals without having the consequences (heavy medal), otherwise it's going to favor more into those stall games. There's also the part where you don't pick up medals off someone who has stacks to begin with, and killing them can be a instant win condition if you're looking to time out (and more often than no, there's no possible way to heal or mitigate any form of burst directed against them). While I feel the game should punish people for bad play (stacking medals), something like that feels extremely counter-intitutive to the flow of the game.

    The game is going to hand out a win/loss objectively based on medal value, regardless of how you feel. If it wasn't working as intended (you lost when you had more medals), then that would be a problem. But that's not the case.

    I've had my fair share of these moments as well (both wins and losses), and while it can get infuriating at times, that's how it is, and that's what a close (or thrown, in some cases) game is.
