I haven't been following this but how does one get the maid outfit on those servers. It's it a quest reward, do you purchase it and if so how much, and does one just need to be on a Japanese server to get them?

It's a collaboration deal with Japanese 7/11. You need to have a JP service account in order to get it (by purchasing stuff from 7/11 and input a ton of codes you get on the receipts which will then give you another code to input on SE's side of it). They're considering how they can make it possible for non-JP service accounts to get them, but we'll almost certainly have to wait until after May (when the 7/11 deal ends) to see what it is. =/

Just like any other system we get ;p Glamour, chocobo dyeing, scrips crafting... Sometimes I sit and wonder, "Do they intentionally make things more complicated than they have to be, just to see us jump through hoops?"

But I agree, I really want that butler outfit ^^ Maid outfit... will probably go mostly unused ^^; And I'm pretty fine with waiting, as long as I know it will become available.
