yes because this is what we all need to see when everyone flocks to the "Popular server".

I dunno with other data center but on Elemental thats only happen when server got problem ( massive dc / lag / after maintenance / patch )... which is never happen during normal days ( and u know tonberry also a popular server , rarely to see queue even on peak hours )

Or you could both go to an unpopulated server.

and abandon my FC mate , static , and my other friends on Tonberry? =3=

I've never seen a queue that long on Cactuar. I would support the Recruit a friend campaign bypassing server limits though.

Yes you don't see it because they restrict users from flooding a single server.

I've been on Tonberry since the game started - the only time I have see those kinds of wait times are directly after the release of a new expansion or patch. I think you are giving a false sense the average wait time on our server (way to be a drama llama).

When Stormblood was released about a week after during peak time the log in wait time was on average only 100. Two months after the release there were no or very little (maybe 5 or 10) wait time queues.

Given this I agree that the recruited friend SHOULD be allowed to make a character on the server of their friend, like everyone else said, what's the point of recruiting a friend if you can't play with them.

Furthermore..

For those "go transfer to their server people", have you considered this; apart from the previously mentioned leaving your friends/free company/static on your current high population world, what about if you have purchased a house there?

While SE has offered incentives to move to low pop servers the "incentive" is "Reimbursement for the full price of the estate, plus compensation of 3,000,000 gil for non-recoverable furnishings".

I don't know about the rest of you, but 3 mill doesn't come close to covering the cost of furnishings/house appearances for my house. Also, it doesn't say anything about you being able to buy a new house on that server. So basically you would lose some money based on your furnishing purchases and not get a new house when you transferred.

ORRRR they could just relax the character creating on popular servers for recruit a friend only.
