No materia slots on hyperconductive anima!?

Actually look at multiple relics compared to their Lore counterparts.
The secondary stats on the relics are elevated.
Material was accounted for.
Posts like these are part of why the devs don't respect our opinions.

You get an extra 33 Det or 34 Crit/SS, vs the 24 you could get from putting two tier V materia on a 230 Lore weapon.

In the case of Ninja, we have:

Torrent Kris
Crit 114
Det 76
+ Materia

Hyperconductive Kannagi
Det 109
SS 114

Torrent Kris wins even without the Materia slots being used. Not every weapon suffers from this, but given the investment required to get the Anima Weapon, those stats are weak. The Materia may have been accounted for, but the Anima still remains inferior, while the superior weapon is able to allocate additional stats.

1. Because there will eventually be a stage in this relic dedicated to customising the secondaries via materia, this relic is following the rough same path as the old.

2. As said when you eventually upgrade it to the next stage that materia would be lost so whats the point?
"But the non-upgraded Lore wep has slots" not everyone has access to the ability to upgrade it and wont do for a while.
"Make it so you dont loose materia when upgrading" the reason why this happens was explained by SE a while back; when you upgrade your weapon the game essentially creates a new one from scratch, thus no data is carried over regarding materia slots. the chances of this changing are super slim as they would quote it as requiring alot of reworking to core parts of the game design or smth.
Still doesnt cover it? the relic has always been a special case not goverend by the same laws as other weapons in this game.


besides, relic is typically for catch up and/or alt classes, you wont be using relic if your in for serious progression of raids unless your way behind so, whats a few slots of materia when its not really needed

Well i have not seen next Relics but if stats remain pretty much the same for blm as example, it's just another weapon to sit with the retainer
I mean it could have maxed stats but if those stats are meh, well .....
Materia slots if ever added will come much later on in the Relics lifespan i would think
