i think this is the first time gender restrictions have been removed from gear. hope this means SE realized how pointless gender locked gloves are. (and they are not gonna remove gender locked on the pants and chest piece for these sets because i have seen the female set and SE will never remove the gender lock on the female version at least.

I was absolutely ecstatic to see this in the patch notes! It's not everything we've been asking for, but it's a wonderful start, and I'm taking it as a sign that we've been heard, and SE is taking a step in the right direction.

It's only a few items, and not the most hotly requested ones, but altering models to fit the opposite gender must take time and effort, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that the plan is to release a few of these fixed items per patch, as the dev cycle allows. It also makes some sense to start with more recently released items, since the assets for them were probably still to-hand as opposed to needing to be dug out of an archive somewhere and dusted off.

Considering that the very same update this set came in featured a unisex mini-skirt and a female-only pair of shorts, I'd really like to hear their reasoning behind which items end up gender-locked. Though I'd rather see my male Miqo'te's behind in those short-shorts XD.

I was wondering the same thing when I saw that.. why not take a few extra minutes and just take it off bunny ears too it just sits on your head! no resizing required! makes me think they just don't wanna do it..

I never understood what the point is in making headgear and gloves have a gender restriction. Shoes/pants and chest gear, I can understand.
