I don't know how these threads go so long without any sort of sense being made.

They very clearly stated that they are working on ways to bring it to the other regions. They are already in talks with probably 7-11 in other countries to have the same thing wherever you are.

Please considere that not every country has a 7-11 and in europe they are rather rare.

and consider that even if there might be a 7-11 in your place, they might not be included in the promotion

Odds are these items will become available to us through the Mog Station, if I had to make a guess. What better incentive to introduce exclusive items than the allure of more money?

WHEN and IF they do show up there, I expect to see the anti-Mog Station brigade pop up and throw a major hissy fit about it on the forums (which is honestly par for the course).

They should have had a plan in place so the items could be made across all regions simultaneously before rolling out the promotion (or you know, NOT make the items a promotional exclusive in the first place)

Because that's completely fair to everyone that no one should have a fun promotional event to get you outside and buy a drink.

First and foremost, you have to understand that this game is run by a business. It's not your best friend; it's an entity that can only thrive with people supporting it with their cash. This promotion should be able to satisfy one group of people and possibly entice more new customers when they see ffxiv products in the store.

Could they have done this better? Maybe. But Square is being relatively considerate to take as much consideration of fan feedback as it has been doing.
