Nail said that the twelve where allagans that survived the calamity.

It has being confirmed that the allagans used to worship the twelve, before they ever become super sci-fi tech atheist people.

Not sure in what you got confused.

I hope that to we end on visiting that place one day.

Well I thought you were referring the calamity that wiped them out. So I need a little more clarification, when you mention the Calamity, did you mean 2nd Umbral era (where they started) or 3th Umbral (The earthquake that wiped them off the map)?

Well, it would finally resolve something that's been teased at since the end of T5 waaaaaaaaay back in 2.0:

Again, all that stuff about the Twelve being surviving Allag? That was a theory I had long before we got any information on Midgardsormr or Allagan history (beyond what Crystal Tower told us). It was a theory that, IMO, tied up loose ends. The game has since disproven it, since Midgardsormr himself confirms his old as heck, and we've got plenty of information on the Allag following Azys Lla. Back when we didn't have that, though? I thought it explained a lot; How the Allag built Crystal Tower next to Midgardsormrs turf (he didn't exist yet). Why Midgardsormr attacked the Agrius (they were making a move for Crystal Tower following Bozja).

As it is, we still have no idea what Midgardsormr was up to during Allag times, so like I said, I'm mad my theory was disproven, because it explained something that still hasn't been explained...

Oh snap! "it could as easily be brought to bear against them.", where did Estihogg fly off to during 3.1, again? Nobody knows~

His move to attack Vidofnir in 3.2 was utter nonsense though, only really serving to bring Ishgard and Dravania closer together... What was his endgame there? Forging a new man/dragon alliance under a mutual enemy goes directly against what Nidhogg should want... Well... What if he went off to grab some Neruolinks? Then suddenly that makes a bit more sense... Ishgard gets all chummy with Vidofnir following his attack, then he uses Neruolinks to have Vidofnir betray Ishgard... Ishgards distrust of Dragonkind is renewed...

Leaving void-crazy Nabriales aside, Lahabrea's big expodump in the Praetorium seems to indicate that the planet can continue to exist just fine without Hydaelyn, which wouldn't be possible if she were, or was crucial to, the upkeep of the planet itself. It's also not a distinction he would have any reason to make if ending the planet itself was his objective. It seems to me like Hydaelyn and Zodiark are merely the Ahura Mazda and Angra Mainyu to the Source's Zurvan, two opposing distillations of one primordial power. (Yes, that's also the name of one of the Triad, but it had to come from somewhere.)

And Eldibus didn't say we would end, he said we would change. Figuring out what sort of change is the key to the whole thing. If it involves altering the essence of what it is to be human, than the Ascians should still be stopped even if Hydaelyn is technically in the wrong. But maybe Hydaelyn changed us in some fundamental way out of classically mythological fear of human potential... Kind of like the Wise One in Golden Sun, who sealed away the power of Alchemy for fear of misuse, even though it meant the world would quite literally crumble away at the edges until nothing was left.

It's of no benefit to Nidhogg because it's not supposed to be. It's a ruse. Estinien is in full control, using the Eyes' power to project himself as the reincarnation of Nidhogg. He's working with Aymeric to create a "common enemy" that Ishgard and the Dravanians can unite against, with the intent that both he and Aymeric will die at the end to reforge in sacrifice the sacred bond between Man and Dragon. And Alphinaud is going to daintily bitch-slap them both.

Thats the issue of being crasy. Makes you do big mistakes.
At this point Nidhogg became somad that he nows dont ever care if he has to kill his own kin to destroy the Ishgardias. Its just my opinion, but I kind of knew things will end like this.

If Nidhoog, has a card below his claws, we will not know for sure until 3.3

I personally believe that as bad as the Allagan were, they weren't as bad of a threat to Hydaelyn up until Xande 2 decided to make a pact with CoD +manipulation via Asciens. They manage to permanently stop defeated Primals from being re-summoned which benefitted Hydaelyn, they had unlimited energy via CT and Dalamud.

Or it could be for practical reason: the Allagans were simply far too strong for Midgardsomnr to defeat and we all know what Allagans would do to Midgardsmnr once defeated: bind him; thus making Hydaelyn lose a powerful ally. If he could be defeated by one Garlean Dreadnaught, imagine him facing off the full might of Allag.

But to be fair, the WoL were on their way to victory up until Xande activated Dalamud in desperation. Maybe Middy acted the one time against Garlean was because there were no WoL present

To be fair, the Garleans didn't defeat Midgardsormr... He decided to go down with the Agrius and suffer the brunt of the resulting explosion... I'm really not sure why... Was he trying to stop it crashing into whatever he is protecting there? Was he intentionally crashing it there? That's perhaps more interesting IMO... "I'm bored of protecting this lake... Oh look! Airships! Time to "protect" the lake!" One epic fight later "[monotone]Oh no. The airships crashed and destroyed the lake.[/monotone] Can I go hang out with my kids now?", then Hydaelyn grounded him until we showed up and made him chibi...

Really though, when you can fire epic energy beams out your mouth, why do you need to coil around a ship to destroy it? Why do you need to then constrict around it as it goes down, rather than getting the hell away from what is about to be a massive explosion? Dumb dragon is dumb... So many better ways to handle that situation...

inb4 Keeper of the Lake (Hard) gives us an Echo cutscene, in which Travanchet was standing in the middle of the lake, about to use the horn he acquired in the Limsa portion of 1.0s opening to succeed in reviving Zodiark or something, just before Midgardsormr crashes the Agrius right on top of him... That would be a beautiful cutscene... "Thou art strong, mortal... When I attempted to kill an Ascian, I had to kill like... A thousand Garleans... You just kill one friend and you're done!", plot twist, Travanchet was the Ascian who goaded Tiamat into summoning Bahamut, and this was Midgardsormr getting revenge... Damn, Ishgard got off easy... Good thing we stepped in, or the Gration would likely be standing where Ishgard used to...

Yep, that's my new head canon; Midgardsormrs concept of retribution is crashing warships into people. Worst dad just became best dad...

If Midgarsomr had indeed been defeated by the Allagans before, its possible that he has also been defeated inbetween then and his latest one with the Agrius. This would also mean he has most likely had his power "reset" each time, and depending on how long its been even his might shown during the battle at Silvertear is not what he could do at his strongest point. Between that and the Garleans probably using the best of what they know themselves/from the Allags with the construction of the Agrius (which was their greatest achievement in airships till recently if I remember right) it might have been the best way he knew how to take it down...and whenever we have to go back to Silvertear for whatever we are supposed to learn from there in the future might also give an explanation for doing that action on purpose.
