The Warrior of Light, Hydaelyn and the Scions are not the 'good guys'. They believe they are and they manage to fool many people into believing that they are and yet even after all the 'good' they do the places they 'help' are often stripped of much of their former identity or end up with a significant number of men and women slaughtered for no reason other than having a different set of beliefs to the trio mentioned above.

Which, ironically, is the biggest criticism of Garlemald. Which makes me believe that eventually we're going to get a '...we're really not so different' line which can't really be contested.

Unukalhai is the reincarnation of Gaius van Baelsar. Not sure why that idea suddenly popped into my head, or how exactly it happened, but, considering his preoccupation with the WoL's strength, it's presently my best guess as to his "true" identity.

We will have to kill Aymeric at some point. He is going to become a tyrant.

Also, our litte lala friend knows exactly who not quite Elidibus is. And he will do something very bad to her at some point.

    Hmm...

The Lord of Snakes, from the Garuda mythology, is in fact Midgardsormr...

Ixali are in fact Allag creations, we know that... Allag absolutely had to have butted heads with Midgardsormr, we can assume that given the proximity of Crystal Tower... Have a famous battle in which Midgardsormr attempts to prevent the Allag from flying, exactly what the Lord of Snakes was said to have done... Enter a female Allagan General, with a ship full of Iksalion for maintenance... Successfully takes down Midgardsormr but crashes in the process... Eats some Middy flesh to regain her strength, goes insane and then leads a band of surviving Iksalion east into dense woodland... The Iksalion still genetically driven to return to Flagship but also driven to follow the commands of their, now insane, leader...

I need to know what Midgardsormr was up to while Allag killed his son, imprisoned Tiamat and Ghost-Son, and built a Voidgate opening super Tower right next door to his lake... Something has to have happened...

Why yes, I am still mad that Midgardsormr and his brood in fact pre-date Allag... Having the Twelve be Allag who survived that Calamity, and created Midgardsormr to prevent Crystal Tower ever being misused was too perfect, what with Garlemald constructing a copy of Crystal Tower with Bozja Citadel, in an attempt to establish a connection with Dalamud, around the same time they flew over Silvertear and Midgardsormr put them in their place... It even explains the "Silvertear is the center of the world and source of all aether!" myth; Crystal Tower was the seat of the world conquering Allagan Empire, and source of all their energy... Bah! The only positive I can take out of this is that the Allag bastardized Dragon-speak and Mor Dhona was either always called that (though perhaps corrupted over the years, Morn Doh; Death Forget/Leave/Discard? IDK), or the Allags attempt at naming in Dragon-speak... Loosely translating to "Forget Death!", either Dragons attempt at saying "Yo! Don't focus on the fact that you'll die, focus on living!", or the Allags attempt at saying "Forget Death! I'm an immortal Emperor now! Hahaha!", either way it's ironic given Xandes couldn't forget death, and that's what lead him to forming a contract with Cloud of Derpness...

    EDIT: While I'm on the topic of "That was Middy!";

So this is an idea I've had for a loooooong time, but I just walked out of Labyrinth of the Ancients (without a Orchestrion roll to show for it! Yay...) and I was reminded of it...

Does that look like a certain serpentine dragon to anyone else? Head on the right, wing in the middle, tail on the left...

Either the Allag built a Labyrinth to honor Midgardsormr... They bastardized the design and incorporated what was likely Tiamats homage to her father, or the Labyrinth of the Ancients pre-dates Allag... I'd go for the later, given the statues in the final room just do not seem all that Allag to me... They just plopped a tower in the middle and incorporated their technology into it, replicating the style where needed...

Ikr, so far Middy only seems to act when it helps the story. It would be nice to know a bit more about his pact as it seems he generally does the bare minimum to honor it. Kind of like he has some lawyer there telling him he has to act based on the wording of it, or if there is a loophole where he can get out of it.

This, really. Going by it's position relative to the (presumed location of the) Source, in any other JRPG I'd say it was in a perfect position to become a clean-energy alternative to using the Source four all our aetheric needs, and the perfect tool to liberate humanity from Hydaelyn, Zodiark and their myopic bullcrap. "Don't drain the Lifestream, go solar!" In any other JRPG. I'm still unsure if they actually never considered the potential there, or they did all along and simply weren't expecting players to catch on that quickly.

As it is, the Allagans seem to be obsessed with death on either side. Team Xande wanted to end the world so that it couldn't go on without him (or something, his XIV version is closer to Kefka IMHO), and Team Archmagus decided that their lives only matter as one-off fuel for a Bigger Picture™ that goes on after they die. Neither is really all that great a way of looking at it, so I think your etymology is perfect for the place, regardless of where canon decides to go with it.

You saw it on Ethys's video

Im confuse. What are you saing such things?

Its already being confirmed that at the begining, the allagans worshiped the twelve. Specialy Azeyma. Why are you saing they were allagans that survived the calamity?
Why Middy doesnt seem to get involved into his sons's issues? We dont know, dragon patternity is wierd. Maybe he is just the kind of that doesnt interfer on the life of his sons and doesnt become "daddy came to save you". Once you leave the nest, you are on your own.
There no indication that CT1 was not an allagan structure. I think we have being tell already that the diference Coil/Azys'la and CT are just the materials the allagans used to built those places. Try to compare a castle and a military compound. They wont look the same, right?

It was a theory I had before we got information about Allagan theological history or any information regarding Midgardsormr.

    EDIT

    Theory:

3.3s new dungeon will be the Boulder Downs Hulk; Alphinaud will tell the Scions he wants to save Estinien. We'll need to find a way to stop Nidhogg all the same though. Enter Alisaie, suggesting we go obtain an Allagan Neurolink to "control" Nidhogg. Thus we finally get to explore that lump of Dalamud that has taunted me for years...

Kind of assumes there's aether without Hydaelyn or Zodiark, since even that Tower was using what was effectively an extra large aetheric battery.

Which, now that I think about it, we don't actually know if the former requires the latter. I've typically assumed that based on NPC comments and such, but I can't actually recall anything that says "If Hydy or Zody go, aether goes too" and instead just stuff about our existence ending and a "return to how it once was."

I'm confused? for the former, what evidence is there (Besides the 1.0 Runestones) or i you mean to say that Allag is connected to Mhach and Beha'dia. For the latter, what does their worship have to do with their luck with earthquakes and society breaking apart?
