We don't really know the details - it's just something they've implied during numerous Live Letters. My guess would be that their 'big bosses' aren't given them as much money to work with as they could but it also seems like they're working with a small but highly efficient team and they've been looking to add to it if I recall correctly. Finding the right people for the job is likely very difficult though.

Makes it seem pointless then, no matter how much money does get thrown at them that their management will just absorb and not give it back to them to utilise. I guess many games still exist with that problem and have continued for years with that problem but that's not looking prospective for me personally as game development angles and focus groups tend to change negatively with poor management

I wouldn't know. I don't spend my time going through the Japanese version of the game with a fine tooth comb trying to find things we don't have. Are you saying you want pay 2 win in our version of the game? I think you just read that in this thread and people want something to complain about because we love to complain in the West.

I've played plenty of F2P games where the exclusive items from promotions in JP/KR have been obtainable through different methods (usually gacha or login campaigns -sad trumpet-) so I'd be pretty disappointed if XIV can't accomplish the same.

Mogstation in this case wouldn't seem unfair since JP players have to spend real money to obtain them anyway.

Really now... some of these comments are making me feel ashamed to be Australian, as they make us look like a bunch of whining children who think other kids are getting a treat that we might miss out on. SE stated clearly that they're working to add it to NA and EU regions in the future as well - Australia is actually considered to be part of the 'EU' region as far as game releases are concerned (and FFXIV is no different), so if the EU gets it, we will as well.

So really everyone, don't fret! Just have a little patience.

Pardon me but what I saw is a maid glamor attire and an ugly titan mask. These don't seems to have any effect on your status so how could it be pay to win? Also 30k MGP is not pay to win in my opinion. What items can you get from GS that will boost your stats though? I don't see any of these items can have any effect on giving you advantage over others?

I know this collaboration is actually sucks since well, I'm not in the NA, EU, JP nor AU area, and I really against this idea but trying to lump this with pay to win is not really fair I would say.
