Givin that we just had that same problem with a cutscene taking place after Sephirot and it was also patched to work as intended, its completely possible. Glad it has been cleared up!

It's not false if back in the day the scene was missing from the book, and then patched in afterwards without my knowing. As said above, that is a possibility.

Things don't save consistently until after you relog. But thank you for correcting yourself, the cutscenes are there and you made your claim based on an incomplete assessment.

How many PF groups have you actually set up specially for a non-CS skipping run? O.o I can't see this being done too often to form any sort of actual statistic, but who knows.

Successfully? I've twice gotten far enough to get a full "no-cutscene skipping" PF group together so we could at least enter Praetorium and I could see how they'd run it. (This was before undersized parties were available.) It was the exact same result both times. All seven other members raced ahead, neither viewing the cutscenes nor waiting for me to do so.

The far more common pattern, however, is that a group never even forms. Periodically a member or occasionally even two would join the PF, wait around for a bit, and then leave, but not enough at the same time to put a team together. I don't really remember how often this was all I got from PF — a long day of accomplishing nothing. It's been a really long time now since I've even attempted it.

So out of many long attempts to get people to join a no-cutscene PF, I've gotten fourteen people as far as starting a run and zero of them followed the rules we'd agreed to. It's not a very big sample size, but a rate of 0 for 14 is enough that I'm pretty confident in saying that players who will follow that rule are at least a small minority. And for the PF plan to work, you'd need to not only get one of those rare players to join with you, but actually get several of them at the same time. When none of my previous attempts found even one such player, I don't think finding several of them at the same time is a feasible expectation.

Perhaps not during offpeak hours but finding 2 willing lvl 60 people is certainly an option on most occasions. Particularly if you merc, but 2 lv 60 friends really shouldn't be that tough to conjure up.

Hell I've been in situations where even that was overkill. I've joined a Praetorium party in progress and only 2 people were there. We 3-manned the whole dungeon after the first boss, with gear caps and everything. Sure, if we weren't stat capped or didn't know what we were doing that would have been nigh-impossible, but... uncapped? please. Child's play.
