my scholar dps sucks

we just tried a5s and with 15% or so more percent left on hummel faust (learning party rather than a static) I still could only hit 600 dps rather than the 800-900 dps i'm seeing other scholars/healers do.

For the record I'm 220 without seph ex weapon (still 210 eso book). I am able to clear SSS a5s dummy, but this really low still and its rather embarrassing. I know to bane both faust and what not, but are there any dps tips so I can stop holding back my teammates? Thanks.

edit: I guess I also forgot to mention that my accuracy is horribly low and we had another summoner. I don't felt like I missed that much and I usually can tell my dots from others, but idk.
