I wouldn't. I have plenty of other gear I can use.

That's great. There are others who aren't as fortunate. If I were someone who was able to put together a character look I was happy with, I wouldn't go out of my way to prevent others from doing the same.

You're implying that everyone who enjoys race locks is specifically targeting people who are unhappy just to make them more unhappy. We enjoy race locks because we like the idea of exclusivity providing an inherent unique aspect to our races. We're not saying "Omg I am miqote/elezen/roe so we should get the best glamours and every lala/au'ra/hyur should be given junk." We're just saying we want more race specific options and hoping we enjoy them. Chances are we like something another race has but we understand that that one single piece that we can't wear just adds to a race's intended design and lore.
Makes me wonder if the people willing to badmouth others for enjoying gear not being for everyone are the kinds of people who went to their friend's birthday parties as kids and got a gift from their own parents so they wouldn't feel left out. Like really, how dare somebody get something that you enjoy but aren't allowed to have.

And it really would be nice to see more gear in this game that was clearly designed with Roegadyn's in mind... even though I will most likely stick with what I currently have on (I've beaten my Glamour End-Game).

the more race-locked gear exist, the greater the chance that every race get something cool.
To be honest I'm not even sure what it looks like on Au'ra. Only complaint is on lalafel it makes it look too, how to put it child girly.
I think the misunderstanding here is the idea of race-locked gear. What we have now is a lot of really basic clothing items like boots and vests. I see no reason for this current "racial" gear to be locked. What's preventing a hyur from wearing the miqote gloves? It feels silly. You're implying that everyone who enjoys race locks is specifically targeting people who are unhappy just to make them more unhappy. You sound like you're describing gear that was actually inspired by the races, similar to the new lore/primal gear. I actually think it would be pretty cool if miqotes had a cat themed suit, or if Au Ra got something scaly with horns, but as it stands I'm not in love with the idea of more basic clothes that are arbitrarily locked "just cause".
Also, I don't know what's up with that birthday comment. That's a party that specifically celebrates a person. This is a paid subscription service, and I don't think it's unreasonable to want options you actually like.

Well, I can understand that, I saw an Elezen with his shirt and examined him to find out what glamour he used, obviously I was disappointed to see the same shirt on my male Au Ra.
Whatever, there are still things that have priority in making me unhappy... actual gameplay things and stuff.
