But who cares about immersion when you have OPTIONS AND VARIETY!?I think there is a point where glamour type stuff goes overboard. Sure it's fun if they have premium style clothing to buy or earn in game and I'd love to see more variety beyond event stuff and in game crafting options but some games *cough* Tera *Cough* take it way too far where people are running around in shorts with a hot dog on their head and a knife and fork for a weapon while riding around in a police car. It completely destroys the immersion of the world especially for people who RP and things like that.

SE would be able to add several varieties of shirts, pants, and shoes that look somewhat modern but also fit into the world of FFXIV. The issue isn't the designs themselves but being overly designed. Think about it we have plenty of gear that looks sorta modern, it's just either gender locked, job specific, or too overly designed. This game already has things like hoodies and dress shirts, and capri pants, its just what jobs can wear them and what "accessories" are added to the gear by default. Cause if I want a nice top it hase come stuck with an ugly belt, I'm looking at you middle eastern vest thingy.
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

I'd like a plain t-shirt or long sleeve shirt, at least.
Have you seen the Wind Silk Bottoms? Or the Dragonskin Bottoms?

Literally jeans.
No Thanks. The setting of this game simply doesn't suit real world clothes, despite the number of hooded robes already in the game I shudder at the thought of hoodies becoming an option. There are already a large number of casual items in the available clothes from the RSE sarting gear to any number of crafting/gathering clothes and even some of the armor choices for both DoW and DoM. It just requires a bit of imagination to pull off. If you want a game populated by hoody wearing tennish shoe tromping folks, I'm pretty sure GTA V caters to that.Dont get me wrong, i absolutely love the fantasy style clothing in this game. But i wish there were more "normal" options.
There's already a good pair of shorts, but i would do almost anything to see something like a t-shirt or a hoodie.
The glitz and glam are nice and all, but i want my WoL to look comfy while hes out saving the world.
Have a npc merchant called foreign fashion advisor or something.
I'm pretty sure that you can already achioheve that klind of look with the use of dyes and existing items. When I am next in game I will have to try some ideas out and post the results.
LOL, you beat me to it.Have you seen the Wind Silk Bottoms? Or the Dragonskin Bottoms?

No, it's just that Korean developers are known for churning out modern fashionable clothing, incredibly skimpy clothing, or downright ridiculous clothing to get more sales on the cash shop. On the plus side they're of a far higher quality than FFXIV's sets a lot of the time, but usually look... well it's not for me.
You mean second skin mesh bikinis are not what you look for in a swimsuit? No, it's just that Korean developers are known for churning out modern fashionable clothing, incredibly skimpy clothing, or downright ridiculous clothing to get more sales on the cash shop. I am of course jesting, I know what you mean and agree that there are limits, although I would like to see a bit higher quality on some of our outfits, I wouldn't want to see anything skimpier than the current crop of bikinis.

No one mentioned that the new Fisherman AF (the Tacklekeep's Attire) looks EXACTLY like the outfits that the Fisherman Trainers wear in the Pokémon games...

Slightly confused at how something looking like something from another game has any relation to asking for real life glamour items..?
