I can safely say when I'm playing Second Class Mage that I forget I have access to raise.

When I'm ressed, nine times out of ten I have to wait for my MP to tick high enough before I can actually Swift res someone. I think as a Summoner it should be ideal to carry an MP pot to be able to res but that's besides the point since most people don't. If I don't have such an item then I'm stuck waiting ten - fifteen seconds doing nothing.
I don't mind raising, I'll gladly raise people swiftcasted or otherwise if it can possibly prevent a wipe.

A7 (M2) was def. more fun when none of us knew you had to run from the drilltfw my second run of A7 my most used skill as SMN was raise
i forced that party through to avoid a reset
i feel like those who are SMN but also play healers are more inclinded to use SMN rez since you gain this little back voice of [HEAL THAT DAMAGE, RAISE THAT PERSON, HEAL HEAL oh wait]
General raise priority:
1)Other healer
2)Off tank
3)smn(if others are dead)/brd/mch(mp for multiple deaths)
4) All other dps

If there's that many dead, it wouldn't even be worth a healer LB, let alone a single raise. This games Exs and raids leave little room for error. Not to mention if there's that many dead, I'd start being more concerned with the party's healer capabilities...

This. Was farming BisEX before I got that bird, and IMMEDIATELY when I got up, everyone started screaming at me to res. Still had Aetherflow on CD for about 10 seconds and after popping it and ressing someone kindly reminded everyone that SMN's res uses MP too. =-=;
