I've been leveling a Paladin for fun on my WHM once I'm tome capped for the week. I played a WAR as my main pre HW so I understand basic principles etc etc and I know the dungeons but I was painfully reminded why I stopped today. Long story short I had a level 30 BLM in Haukke manor who was:
A. Stutter stepping as if she would cast until the moment I would to to run in. At which point she would cast her move so it hit just before or just after Shield lob, causing me to fight her for aggro almost every pull and every boss.
B. Wearing a fully melded set of level 27 gear. (Is this a thing we do now?)
It was painful the whole way between that and the fact that our healer was obviously also newer and doing a lot of over healing. We actually didn't finish. The last boss was a disaster and after five wipes the two dps kicked the healer for being 'offline' which...was a lie and so I took the opportunity to leave. I don't even think it was his fault and I'll certainly take the blame for the one wipe where I hit sprint by accident to dodge an attack but to be fair I was at 11hp and would have died if I didn't. XD. But every other time it came down to the fact that the BLM refused to help with the first set of lamps because she thought it was a waste even though the healer asked us to because the AoE seemed to be causing him issues and because she /still/ would cast without giving me a second to build aggro /while/ blowing all her dps cooldowns in her drastically over zealously melded gear. It made it near impossible to even take the time to go flash the adds because the moment I wasn't hitting the boss it was on her and her fully melded gear didn't do much to keep her from dropping dead. The cherry on top is that obviously she was still not high enough to get quelling strike. Is this the reason my tank friends all groan when they see a BLM pre level 32?
