Cartoony art style, hell no we won't go

The guy making the art is replacing the original designer who worked on this game up until now. It wouldn't be particularly suprising if he has some trouble adjusting to keep the consistency even though he is a professional and that can be seen here too.

If you don't like the pug weapon you should say it instead of thinking you don't have the right to because you aren't professional. Giving an outside perspective on someone's work can not hurt anyone, and if he is truly a professional, he will appreciate the feedback and reflect on it instead of rejecting it.

I dont like many stuff about the art, do you think they are gonna change them cause of me?
No and because I dont like the jester cap, that doesnt mean that the game is turning into circus, like many of you ppl jumped right to the conclusion that this is turning to WoW.
These are different thing, I dont like the design of the ifrit pug fists, but I think that they fit into the art style of the game, cause they fit to the lore of it, thats the end of it.

The Wolf Head weapon is made of inorganic material, has an ornate design, and is based on a classical element of romanticism (in this case, the wolf as the predator).
Fits right in.

Ifrit weapons also fit right in for the same reason.

If people voice their disagreement the artist can reflect on it and see whether he agrees or if changes really are needed. He is not a genius even though he is a professional. If we say nothing then it's easy to think that the designs are fine while they really are not after all.

Maybe it's not even up to him but the higher-ups are telling him to come up with something more "epic" than what we had before. Voicing disagreement is good for them as well, since they can also reflect on the decision, perhaps tone down the change a bit or rethink the direction.

It's funny, because the concept for the weapons is clearly Monster Hunter influenced.

In MonHun, you kill a monster, acquire its hide/horns/claws/ect., and forge awesome gigantic weapons and armor out of them. As a result the weapons resemble the pieces of the monster that you used to make it. Similarly these weapons seem to contain parts of Ifrit that you will most likely use to forge each one. Hence why the weapons are huge, they're created from the parts of a gigantic beast (much like Monster Hunter's gear). As far as I'm concerned this is awesome. The weapons SHOULD look like they came from the monster who's parts you're using to forge it. Also, gigantic weapons MAKE SENSE in a world where you're slaying GIGANTIC BEASTS.

I am just wondering which part my THM weapon will have come from >.< lol the blue ball isn't helping haha!!

I don't mind the design, some are not that great. The way i see it they're damned if they do and they're damned if they don't, like a lot of things in this game.
