No thanks they already use consol limitations as an easy out enough as it is.

Okay you're not worth arguing with. You keep contradicting yourself and going on about why this WONT work for FFXIV, without providing reason why it wont work. The short story is, it wasn't allowed before, it IS allowed now. If Yoshi wants to do it, he now can. Regardless of if 'this isnt something special microsoft has done' or, 'burnout paradise did this before'.

You are correct, and based off the news today, Microsoft is going to allow for cross platform/cross network, which would remove this limitation.I read long ago that SE wanted to bring the game to XBOX, but Microsoft refuses to share servers with Play Station and wanted have their own servers for his version, and of course SE said no. I don't know if this is true or not. Internet is a nest of rumors everywhere...![]()

Yoshi-P said the reason they weren't bringing FFXIV to X1 was because Microsoft wouldn't allow it, and that they wanted to have their own exclusive servers. This change in policy should help to make that from being the roadblock.
I don't think anyone who plays XIV cares to know if someone is playing on PC/PS/X1, but if MS doesn't prevent Yoshi-P from releasing the game on the X1, then I'd consider that a win.
The conversation regarding how they get a piece of the pie, I fully understand, and that could cause issues with getting the game on the X1. I just hope this was the last major hurdle, and the ones that are left, will help this to move forward.

With the XB1 MS changed their policy, since XI was on the 360, and it was cross platform, but with the XB1 MS said that they wouldn't allow it.
No one here is thinking this was a technical issue whatsoever, but according to many interviews that Yoshi-P gave on the topic, he's stated multiple times that the reason the game isn't on the XB1 is because Microsoft didn't want cross platform with PS4, and that they wanted their own servers.
I'm sure there are other issues, and if they exist, hopefully we'll be able to help get those walls down too... This is a victory, but the quest still isn't completed.![]()

I don't even need to see the rest of your posts to tell you lost this argument. There are some things you only say when there is no valid response, or when you're 13.
Anyways, I hope that Microsoft does let FF14 come to XB1. The game's doing pretty well even as a PC/Playstation exclusive; I can only imagine it would grow further with a new crowd to market to.
There is no argument to lose, there is simply fact and assumption. Suggesting I'm 13 because I think the poster who I was discussing things with should look in a mirror for a more accurate reflection of what they said of me? Good grief, there are some willfully blind people in this topic.

Looks like Phil Spencer wants to see this happen - https://twitter.com/XboxP3/status/709480925038391296
