Why Not Remodel the Summons?

Egis NEED to be redesigned, I am so tired of seeing Garuda egis (since it's the mose useful egis, and the uglier), and they should give Contagion to each egi, so we could use the egi we like the most based only on design.
If Ifrit egi had also contagion, I would never have summoned Garuda egi...
And we also need more egis, like Shiva's. Just give them Contagion and everyone will be happy.
Or just give Contagion to summoners.

The devs have said, for, around 5 years now, that they don't want the pets to have more presence than the summoner and to reduce cpu/gpu load, if you guys can't understand that after so many years I'm sorry.

However, they have taunted us with (empty) promise of summon glamours months back. Whether we actually see it or not is an entirely different matter, but there was dev talk of doing something about the summon's looks.

"We are planning to add a system in the future." For some odd reason that seems to have been misunderstood by a lot of players. I see some people basically interpreting it as "They said they'd do it and they haven't done it yet so we should cry nonstop on the forums that they're never going to implement it because they don't update us on its status every two days." Not being given an update doesn't mean they've forgotten it or that the promise was empty. It just means they haven't found time to fit it into the development schedule yet. I mean, it affects the cosmetic appearance of one character class. It's not exactly the highest priority.

Yes I forgot, the "egi glamor system" never came to be, and I don't expect it either. I think we may receive a new egi in the next expansion 4.0 but as for a remake of the models, as I explained earlier, it's not going to happen. I myself as a smn would like to see more pronounced models but they are the way they are as a design decision.

Don't give up hope tho, a new primal is on it's way for the smn down the road, think ramuh or insert __ Wish ___.

Personally I think summoners should be able to quickly summon their.. summons, and have it so that each summon has more interesting mechanics than just "melee pet" "range pet" and "tanky pet." That way we could see more primals being turned into egis (I mean the Ramuh egi is already made!) and not sitting in some kind of we've-filled-all-the-pet-roles-already limbo.

Defeat Primal. Be able to Summon Primal's Egi.

So, model us up Leviathan, Ramuh, Shiva... They don't have to be supremely-detailed models. They don't need to have terribly unique tricks, or tremendous damage buffs. They just need to give us something else to look at; and something more personalized to work with.

I want to Shiva. FFVII was my first FF title and I've always been fond of Shiva, since the first time I summoned the pretty blue ice lady, so many moons ago.

Part of why Ramuh exists is because SMN was supposed to have a 4th egi that was different in mechanics from the other egis. But in the long run, they decided it would make SMN too strong. They intentionally left SMN with a ranged, melee, and tank pet. Unless they give every other class a new feature that they deem the same improvement as a 4th egi, I doubt it will happen. Though personally I hope they do because all of our jobs could use a new, additional, mechanic.

I so agree with this comment or like what everyone else said for them to just look like a child version of the adult self.

Teen Titans yo girl he rescue (cough cough) I mean Teen Egi. If you think about the Law we are protected by the light of the crystal this is why we don\\'t get effected when a primal is summoned.

Also I understand it takes a lot of Aether to summon a primal. So why can\\'t we have a Aether 2 treat that you gain at a higher level :

Side effects of using Aether 2 it only does it boost ur MP but at the same time it allows your summons to transform into you guessed it Teen Egi primals now the change would last for a short period of time and once the timer runs out you have to wait some time before you can use it again. This spell would also allow us to summon all ur Teen Egi's but the longer they are all out the quicker ur mp drains.
