You don't have to rush the pentameld. If you have the ARR beast tribes maxed out, then attaining materia to give it a few shots everyday is plenty (and free).

They really save on money.

I don't though, and it would take me 30-40ish days to get my ARR tribes to the point where I can start getting the materia, so I'm too lazy to bother doing it at this point.

By time I get them to the point where I can even get the materia, I'll have long already needed the stuff

It used to take a whole month per tribe... now a month would be the amount it takes to max the 4 at the same time.
And you dont really need to max the 4, only unlock the 3rd tier of quests, which should be done in about ... 20 days or so?

You'll be around for longer than that (even if it were actually 30~40) and will save you in money. Its not like i240 will be the last tier ever to exist in this game. (I seriously believe we'll hit the i3xx gears before next expansion and see no Tier VI materia any time soon either).

You make a good point and honestly I didn't even think about the tiers going forward needing to be melded as well.

I still won't bother with them, for now.
I'll start em up once I'm done with my anima because vanu and vath are helping me get those items.

I think after vanu and vath I still have 6 dailies left? So I could work on two of the four for now I guess.

You'll want to buy the 230 sword on week 7 no matter what. Since you already bought lore pants, I would suggest buying Lore chest and head for your tank and gearing out the rest through Midas normal drops, saving tomes after those two pieces for he sword get in w7.

It takes 10 days to get a tribe to level 2, after that 17 days to get it on level 3 is you only do the three topmost quests for each tribe. 12 quests in a day, 4 tribes. You get all four tribes to level three in a bit shy of four weeks.
